I love making my own decorations for Christmas, Halloween and Easter! I get a lot of inspiration from Pinterest, Dollar Tree, Hobby Lobby, Grandin Road and other places like those! I also get a lot of inspiration from Disney, Tim Burton and Dr Seuss. I love the whimsical style and I also like to combine vintage and modern.

Oh my goodness! I am amazed at how easily you sketched a horse, built up the frame, sculpted with homemade paper clay and then constructed and designed 3 unique Rocking Horse Flies! They are more beautiful then the ones in the Disney animated film. Your imagination is as AWESOME as your creations. So I adore working with cardboard. That love started because it was free, but the more I worked with it, the more in love I fell with it as a crafting material. I always get so happy to see others using it! I have been feeling pretty miserable today but perked up despite that when seeing cardboard was going to be the base of this project. I dont know if this will be of intrest to anyone but Bentley House Minis here one youtube is a Doll House/minuture maker here on youtube who did a series all about making things out of cardboard. She did a house and a dragon out of it as part of the series. It was generally good information and inspiration, but what was of most interest to me was the hardening mixture of glue and wall joint compound she used. It works so incredibly well and is light! Its let me use cardboard in projects I otherwise couldn't. If you didnt want to go the papermache or clay route that mix would work pretty well for a project like this. A simpler way of giving card or chip board some reinforcing without adding much weight is to glue a layer of newspaper on either side before cutting out your shapes. Ive also used adverts I got in the mail. Somehow Ive never gotten into Alice In Wonderland or its truer adaptions so I dont know the sources of inspiration for the project but I love the results. Thank you so much for sharing as well as the care put into both the video and creations themselves.

Would it be possible to show a picture of the things you are inspired by? I am not familiar with any new versions of Alice in Wonderland and I don't recall any Rocking Horse Flies in the Disney version from way back when. I love what you do. It is mesmerizing to watch.
