I made a rosary using this method, only with some 425 paracord instead. I decided to use a larger barrel knot (4 or 5 turns, I can't remember exactly) for the Our Fathers instead of the single strand diamond knot. I just found that the diamond knot gave it a "clunky" appearance. But then again, I made a smaller cross - had I gone for the cross in this video, maybe the diamond knots wouldn't appear as big. I'll try making a rosary with 550 paracord soon! Anyway, great video tutorial!

Hi, I may have failed to mention. Usually, when people talk about paracord in general, without mentioning a size, they are talking about 550 paracord (Type III). That's the case on this channel at least.

I do not recommend wearing a paracord rosary around your neck. If it gets caught in a door or something, it will strangle you.

How much would I have to measure out if I made the rosary with 10 of the diamond knots per decade and a celtic knot for the Our Fathers?

I would suggest you take 10 ft of cord and make 1 decade. Then measure how much cord you have left over and subtract that from your 10 ft. Multiply that out by your number of decades. Hope that helps.

How to connect the cross?

Your rosary should have 2 long strands coming out the bottom. Following the tutorial in the description, use those 2 strands and three 20 inch strands. If you already made the cross and just want to attach it to the rosary, you could probably snip off part of the cross and melt them together, or just tie a knot through the loop of the cross.
