Hey my lovelies,
I hope you enjoyed the episode. We are loving being in the garage and enjoying the space. I’m so happy Walter’s fab work turned out exactly as we thought! Now that project has a space it’s now time to turn my attention all to MM.
Thank you always for watching.

Hey, glad you are better and working, we love your show. We noticed your puppy watching while you were welding, and thought it might be bad for his eyes. Maybe an area for him behind a welding screen so he could be there while your welding and not chance his vision.. Just a suggestion

I love the divide and conquer method. I hope Walter will be involved more in my opinion he is a great teacher and a natural in front of the camera. I enjoyed how he made a drawing of what he was going to build so we would have an idea. Walter really impressed me with his building skills and how comfortable he is on camera.

I think Fergus is a good shop pup if he just goes off and lies down. I'd say he was a bad shop dog if he was constantly underfoot and whining to leave. Just my opinion. Love watching your videos, glad you're getting better. Please don't push too hard. It'll all come with time and your fans want you around for the long haul.

The pump is on the engine, that's the steering gear. On the older Jeeps and Scouts it was/is common to run a brace from the sector housing of the gear across to the opposite frame rail, that stiffens them up pretty good.

Hi guys. Hope your feeling better. I also suffered a similar injury as you and had to wear that brace for 6 months. It all turned out fine. Anyways I don't believe the allen bolts on your rotisserie's tube frame clamps are rated to hold the same weight the rotisserie is rated for. I would hate for them to snap and someone get hurt. At the very least I would try to find grade 8 bolts and go larger then 1/4 inch. That is what they appeared to be to me. Please don't take this as criticism because it is not meant that way. I enjoy your videos and glad that you are back to making them again. Take care.

I just wanted to let you know that when you turn the Frame & Tubb upside down the only thing that will be holding it will be those little bolts that hold your clamps together , you're doing a great job as always , love the channel I have been watching since you first time on Matt's Off-Road Walter please be careful with the Death Wheel (Grinder with cut-off wheel) they can break and fly apart at any time, wear Eye Protection at all times cause you only have 2 Eyes and it's not the same without them

and try and keep critical body parts out of the plane of that cutting disk! if you break a disk at full RPM, it explodes, and throws 3" sharp pieces many feet at very high speeds. I always try and keep my face and neck out of that line of fire. I know modern cutting disks are stronger than the older ones were, but still.

I was thinking the same thing about those small bolts in the clamps holding once they turn it over, If it were me I'd put a ratchet strap or two on each side just to help hold some of the weight.

I had 2 different brand (both from HF) angle grinder cutting wheels blow up on me within a couple of minutes of each other. Fortunately, I was wearing a full face shield at the time. The angle grinder is, in my opinion, the most dangerous of all shop tools.

I was thinking about welding the edges of the clamps for added piece of mind, but I’ve been reassured that 12 bolts per side was adequate (at least beyond the 3,000lbs that the entire rotisserie is rated for), but the ratchet strap as a backup is a great idea!!

I try to spend at least 10 hours a week just practicing, but I started off last year with a lot of 1:1 instruction from some very talented and accomplished welders. Almost everything I have learned as formal instruction has come from either Ian Johnson from Big Tire Garage and Matt from Matt’s Offroad Recovery. Everything else is just consistent practice and insight from friends in the offroad industry.
