Love your idea! Thinking about going even bigger with 10 inch wheels. Not sure if this would help or be too cumbersome.

I had the same thoughts between the 8" and 10" before deciding one the 8".

I'm sporting the runaway rouser and i stupidly did the opposite. I switched my factory heavy duty tongue jack with a cheaper walmart side mount tongue jack. At the time I had a very small tow vehicle and the factory tongue jack would only go so far up. It was practically 1 inch off the ground which wasn't good for my towing. I switched it and you can feel the difference in strength. very weak performance but it just barely lifts and moves. The upside though is that it retracts up and to the side fully leaving no drag and 100 percent full clearance!!! It hardly feels safe but for now it's working more or less. It hasn't collapsed on me so far. Hopefully i can get a new better tow vehicle and then maybe I might be able to switch back to the factory. What an ordeal!! Ha!

This jack is nice because it is so stout, but I have to be careful when opening my trucks tailgate.

Pretty clever. I put a flat plate on the tongue jack. It’s easier for me. I do have one of the trailer dolly’s, but mostly use it to back the trailer into the garage or to pull it out as it is an odd angle with the propane on the side.

@@GetOutBeHappy Glad you did, I could see using the tow strap for a few situations! I am NOT a good backer'inner and usually end up putting my RangeRunner side to side and then the canopy and Gazebo lined up to make it easier for my wife to go to the bathroom in the middle of the night. We keep the porta potty in the gazebo and use walls to close off the canopy at night for privacy.
