DIY SELF WATERING POT FOR ORCHIDS AND HOUSEPLANTS | Paano Gumawa ng Magandang Self Watering Pot

Hello everyone!
Let me show you how I make my self-watering pot or self watering planter which I used for my cattleyas and phalaenopsis but it can also be used with other plants or houseplants This is very cheap/mura/barato. It only costs 60 pesos because I reused some of the materials. I bought my outer pot at Novo Jeans and Shirts for 25 pesos and Sunnyware canister as inner pot for only 34.75 pesos at Savemore.
This is not a heavy duty pot because I used plastic pot and it is best to use indoors or outside but with shading or roofing.

Great video. One recommendation for mistakes that can happen like at 5:30 - instead of cutting with the blade to smoothen the top of the plastic container, use a medium and fine-grit sandpaper to just rub across the top of the container to smoothen out the sharp edges. Or, you can use a steel file to Sharpen and Deburr

Thanks for your nice video... i have just started rhis ste up on my Phalaenopsis orchid... the roots are always green and i am wondering if it is fine for the orchid roots not to dry up completely or there is something i am missing in my set up... please let me know if it is normal have all the roots always green and humid or not Thanks

Thank you..🙂 depende rin sa panahon, pero aabutin ng 3weeks ang water sa ganitong pot.. nilalagyan ko lang ng water ang outer pot sa level na hindi n’ya abot ang inner pot tapos check ko every week and water.. pag established na ang plant and dami ng roots less than that na.. please check my other videos nandun and step by step ko na repotting, shortened kasi ito..thanks again and keep watching!.😀

In USA pots will not be cheap....sigh...
