Holy crap what kind of company tells and shows you how to make their own products!!!! Crazy saddle maniacs. Tethrd does this. Love this company for this purpose right here

Tree Man I agree but also think it’s genius as well. Who’s gonna spend all afternoon sewing webbing and still have $10 in material?? Might as well just buy it...great marketing strategy.

Agreed. Sometimes DIY makes sense and sometimes $20 goes a long ways.

This video alone has convinced me to purchase an entire Tethrd set up for hanging hunts once I can save the money. What a great company, mission statement, and ethics. Showing people how to do it but also offering the product for sale. Incredible

Ernie, I made one with one adjustment. Instead of just folding over the end of the orange adjustment strap, I made a "finger loop". It still prevents the T-hook from coming off but I like being able to pull on the loop. You can really crank it down tightly even with a gloved hand. Give it a try and see if you like it.

Just goes to show how Tethrd as a company genuinely care about their customers. Most companies just want you to buy the newest latest thing To make more money. kind of reminds me of Lewis rossman and his fighting for right to repair with electronics. Apple as a company won't even let you get your devices repaired when they easily can be. Instead they want to sell you a new one. I wish there was more companies out there like you guys you have a lifelong customer here.

Wow, so a simple video like this shows what kind of company you are. You just got another customer

Sales must have gone up since the video...when the video posted they were $20 like Ernie said....a week later they are now $25...lol. ya need to go in and edit that part of the video out. (Edit to my post). Just go my strap today and it is pretty awesome. This will help with movement and noise setting up for sure. Between little tweaks to how I’m setting up and Tethrd products, I’m getting faily quiet setups. Certainly much better than it used to be.

Hey Ernie just bought the whole saddle setup and I'm so excited to get into it!! I want to make my own HYS strap and versa straps. I would just like to know should I be buying heavy duty thread and needles???

Love that you show the diy! You guys are awesome. Quick question as I don't sew (at least yet). Do you not have to knot any of the stitching?

Those buckles are actually called G-hooks, if you aren't in the Tethrd sales area.

The saddle community is so good at sharing info THANKS! After looking at saddle hunter.com and Greg and Ernies videos I am going to give saddle hunting a try this Fall after 48 years of doing it the "old way"

In the description for this video you should include a link to your (Tethrd) "The HYS Strap Overview" video that shows how you can use this, since that is not immediately apparent, and that how you use it is even more important than you can make it. I emailed one of my friends links to both videos.

Would just a regular sewing machine be able to do this?
@woody655365 жыл бұрын
A regular home machine would work, but you'll need a heavy duty needle.
