Hello Mr. Witchcraft! I’m 11 years old and I love your videos! I love playing D&D, it’s very fun and interesting! I think you are by far one of the best crafters out there. I think my favorite piece of terrain you made was the sewer terrain I found it very fun and cool!

Hey Dylan, thanks for watching! I think it's awesome that you play D&D! Do you and your friends get to play a lot? Back in the day it was hard to find groups to play so I was stuck reading a lot of the Joe Dever Lone Wolf Books. Check those out! You can find them online too (the actual books are hard to come by nowadays). I'm glad you like the "Sewer Series" so far. Still 2 more videos to come in that set! Have a fun, safe weekend.

I’ll try those books they seem interesting! I play mostly with friends yes, they also enjoy playing D&D too! I can’t wait for the next sewer terrain videos! You have a safe weekend too!

You could also add a washer to the underside of the base before you add the hot glue and that will really add some weight.
@TabletopWitchCRAFT4 жыл бұрын
Sean Gere Sure does. I didn’t add them to this slime because of the angle of the toothpick the washer wouldn’t fit. When I can I add washers to all my minis with the date painted written on them :). Thanks for sharing.

If you're going to all that trouble to sculpt up a nice rat you might as well make a mould to reproduce it in some fabric. Rats need friends to swarm with.

Only thing that I can see with the Rat that's off is that it's a pretty massive rat there rather than the more common ones. For slimes, I'd made a bunch of them rather easily, didn't bother with much motion for them. Started with the bases and pretty much finished the bases before working on the slimes themselves. I'd just used 1" and 2" bases (I'd just used Reapers basic ones), some superglue and rough sand...then prime and a basic paint job. Then I started with a randomly edged blob of hot glue over the majority of the base, and while it was still hot, I used a few round beads to add some structure and make it look less like just a blob of something and more like it's alive then stacked a few overlaying blobs while also coating the beads. Then painted the slimes for the colors...and used a basic polyeurethane gloss overtop of the paint (And after I sealed the paint). You can mass produce them easily. My main paints were several that were a dark grey followed with a heavy wash of a black ink, and another set which were a ochre followed by a dull yellow and a sepia ink wash followed by a light highlight of the yellow... If you can find the nice crystal clear hot glue, skip the beads and paint, just put a gloss layer over the end with several blobs stacked up. Some interesting options for color might be the glow in the dark paints...

@@TabletopWitchCRAFT With a lot of them, if you look around, some of the colored hot glues are amazing for different things, though they cost a bit more and you normally want to run them through entirely so as not to mix them in if you want things without the colors.

To make the slime shame a little more stable, have you tried using the wire ties that come with everything when you don't need them and nothing when you might have an actual use for them? Solid tips, I don't think I ever would have thought of hot glue for making a slime mini.
