I'm in a blue state in the Northeast and wanted to construct for myself a 8'X12' shed/gazebo. I needed a zoning permit, a health permit, and a building permit. Had I been in a wetlands area, I would had to get a permit for that too.

needs some advice on a pickleball project in my backyard... going to do a 5 inch concrete slab and i have done all the prep work leading up to the pour which is in a few weeks... Can i compact the soil and road base 3 weeks ahead of the concrete pour? Thanks for any advice. Great video.. We are in RPV, CA

David, I noticed concrete on the threads of the anchor bolts and I have seen that with other contractors. Wouldn't it be easy to wrap some tape around those threads so after it's dry the threads are clean?

You only need base if your soil sucks, especially if you live in an area where the ground moisture freezes and thaws.
