Thank you for the tutorial. An observation using cold temperatures as cold water it will make any process closed up or sealed so…in this case it will make the color to stay in the fabric WHILE warm and hot water make things loose color cause hot temperatures is use to open things up to change them or it will keep changing and the color won’t stay. Good job!

Does this dye have soda ash in it already? I usually soak my things in soda ash before the dye process (I use procion) but if it's already there, it wouldn't be needed.

I didn't soak this in soda ash beforehand, and I just did a quick search and read that Rit dye (what I used here) doesn't have soda ash in it, and that soda ash doesn't help with Rit dye due to the type of dye it is. So definitely follow the process you would normally follow with your dye of choice. :)
