I am using a very opaque water based ink from Ryonet, it's specially made for use on dark garments. I probably could get it even whiter if I flashed and did a second hit, but I really like the results I'm getting the way I'm doing it now. So maybe others have not used a white water based ink specifically made for dark garments?

Never mind about the cap platen...I going to use the one I made from another video. I'm just going to add the bottom attachment to slide onto my printer I made from your printer instructions.

Awesome video. First one I found, and I don't need to watch any more! This was very helpful. As a garage screen printer, I like that you left in all the little things that happen when you print!

I'm sorry, I don't quite understand your question. What are you referring to when you say "spacers"

Wow. Cool. I always assumed they had to screen print the fabric before they completely sowed the hat together. Very informative. I like your setup!

Hello i have a question for you.. I have been trying to print on PLASTIC boxes and possibly even Vinyl sticker sheets ; i was wondering what the best INK to use on plastic and or any other surface that is not Fabric garment. I watched your video on printing foam hats and that was helpful ! i am wondering if i shoud purchase Water Based ink, Solvent based ink or just make stickers. Im thinking Water Based Ink will allow me to print on my Vinyl , Plastic, and Foam Trucker hats... Plastisol inks will not work thanks !

Nice video, hairs a thought, to prevent the squeegee falling back into the ink, move your back stop piece of wood with the rubber bands to the back side of the C-clamps so it has more slope towards the back.

hello, i tried emailing you but it never goes through. I would like the blueprint for the printing press and also for the hat.
@clonboymusic8 жыл бұрын
+Jeanine Morris i think this is quite easy to figure out, no need of the blueprints. if you look close enough and check some original ones that are sold it is easy to copy that. check steve carmichael as well print hats, he made a tutorial how to build one. greetings.

I've been looking into screen printing as a hobby and saw on previous videos you commented you use water-based inks for your printing. Other printers on YT use Plastisol. As I've been doing research, everyone seems to say water-based inks are horrible on dark colored material, yet you seem to have no trouble at all with your dark-colored Livin' Country tees. Does everyone say water-based inks are bad on dark colors because everyone else says it, or are you do something different? Thanks! Rich
