In Ireland,it’s a complement to be known as ‘an Irish mammy” because you do anything and everything for your children. You are such an amazing mammy !, I love how you listen to your girls wants and needs. I also have two girls age 15 and 18 and it’s important to listen I have learned. My two girls are doing state exams starting next week, they’re a big deal for them especially my eldest as it determines what college she will go to, we have made a conscious effort to create a calm and safe space in our home for the last few months so if they are getting stressed we sit down and chat. I did not have this when I was young. You often discuss previous struggles in life and I can relate. I do feel breaking the cycle of bad parenting was the hardest thing I ever did as it involved a lot of counselling and help with my mental health but when I look at my girls it was worth it. I really see you and Derek as such good parents, your girls are lucky to have you . I think you are definitely an Irish mammy ❤ you really have got it together at such a young age, I truly admire you !,

I would love that room for myself. You did a great job. I’m sure your daughter loved it. I think when my daughters were little we bought new waterbeds. That’s how long ago it’s been. We all had them. But I still have all the wood dressers and chests we bought with the water beds. I’m not sure what happened to some of the dresses and I think we had a desk. But it’s real wood, which is hard to find nowadays. But my daughters are in their forties now. And none of us have waterbeds anymore.

Really pretty makeover!! It’s amazing that most kids these days don’t sleep in twin beds these days; I grew up in the 70’s/80’s and no kid had anything larger than a twin until they moved out. Seems like it makes room designs harder for parents these days as kid’s rooms tend to be smaller. Again - makeover is so pretty! ❤

Kinsley actually had a twin bed until we got her the Lull mattress, and the reason we chose a full size is because she would fall out of the twin almost every night. This is just what works for us, but I know plenty of kids that have a twin size. 😊

Relaxing music feels very out of place with time-lapsed clips 😵‍💫 but you can always mute the video & put on whatever music you prefer 🤗
