Beautiful dress and pattern. How much fabric would I need in total for a longer dress size 10?

Do you think it would be possible to add another tiered ruffle to make it a midi or maxi dress? How would I know how much fabric to add?

Hi! You could instead just extend the ruffle piece at the hem to make it longer. I’d add half a metre of fabric just in case :)

Your dress is really adorable but how can you call it ‘smocked’? Smocking or shirring is quite different to my understanding.

So glad you love the pattern! I call it a smock dress not a smocked dress. They’re two different things, a smock dress is a certain style / shape that has that kind of neckline with a looser fit skirt. ❤️
