Another circuit of do it yourself Solar Night Lamp with TP4056 board with Protection Output. I bypassed the TP4056 IC and leaving the DW01 IC for Overcharged and Low Voltage Protection functions. Solar charging current has improved while batteries are still protected.
External components transistor, diode and resistor act as auto on/off function. LED will turn on when there is no sunlight received by Solar Panel.
I used 3.5W/6V Solar Panel that gives around 0.55 Amps of charging current.
3 pieces of 1W LEDs consumed around 220mA (current controlled by bias resistor connected on the base of NPN transistor). They last overnight with 2 pieces of 18650 lithium ion rechargeable batteries.
Note: remove the 2.2k ohms resistor if the transistor is so hot. Solar panel has already an internal resistance that will turn on the transistor.
