Another version of DIY solar night lamp that uses TP4056 board as battery protection and just one external component SS9012 PNP transistor that acts as auto on/off switch for the LEDs. One of the basic and easy to build solar night lamp / mini street light
Using 3.5W/6V Solar Panel, 2pcs 18650 lithium batteries and 3pcs 1W LEDs
PS: in case that the light will not last overnight due to cloudy conditions in your area. Connect 1k ohms 1/4W resistor in series of pin 2 of 9012 transistor going to the input + of TP4056 board.

Hi again, finally i builded the circuit with exactly all parts you say, it works great, solar night lamp turn on/off without problem, only thing a can see is that voltage of use is 2.9V and battery 18650 is 3.90. Why is that? is should use all voltage needed to brigth correctly.

I have been studing and looking why tension voltage is down, the fact is simple, the S9012 transistor has a 1.2 -1.4 Vbe saturation (you can see the datasheet here: pdf1.alldatasheet.com/datasheet-pdf/view/82137/ETC/S9012.html) , it means that if current voltaje using 18650 batteries is 3.7V the finally voltage into the emitter pin would be 3.7V - 1.4V = 2.3V. in my case my led voltage was 2.72 because my 18650 batteries were 4.11V more or less. So my final conclusion (i bought about 30 batteries and 50 S9012 Transistors but most important thing is that a learned a good lesson) is that this circuit is functional but not with optimal results because led could not bright efficiently with 2.7V.

Puedes usar cuantas quieras siempre y cuando estén en paralelo para no exceder el voltaje máximo del Led, sin embargo por experiencia (Compre varias baterias y transistores y para este circuito no me sirve) no lo construyas debido a que el voltaje de salida luego de encender el led está muy por debajo del valor normal del led, ronda alrededor de 2.7V y con eso el led es simplemente inficiente.

@@realidadalterna7091 creo que en ti he encontrado la respuesta..efectivamente la luz es pobre. Pero creo que el detalle está en el transistor...ósea consiguiendo uno de más potencia .de hecho cuando no le pongo el transistor se pierde la Facultad del automático....pero la luz de los LEDs llegan a su máxima expresión . Te agradezco comentarios gracias. Te puedo enviar foto con la iluminación

@@realidadalterna7091 he hecho todos los modelos de edmund brisenio y es lo mismo en cuanto a la pobre iluminación. Como la gracia de esto es que trabajen automáticamente te pregunto si has encontrado algún modelo donde estos transistores permitan el suficiente brillo de los leds?...sera posible que si se deja el controlador de carga y en vez de poner transistor se coloca un ldr para que trabaje automático (se puede eso?) Quiero encontrar el exito pero sin prescindir del regulador por el tema del peligro de explosión de esta 16850

@@evss61 Saludos cordiales, de hecho aqui en Venezuela fue necesaria la rapida solucion a este problema, lo he realziado usando un rele de 5V con un cargador de celular que es de 5V y funciona de maravillas, hace tiempo que no hago nada en mi blog pero voy hacerlo para ayudarte. mi blog es nunesariza.blogspot.com revisa hasta que lo encuentres, es muy sencillo de hacer. Abrazos!!!

@@evss61 El problema es que ese consumo afecta el rendimiento además recuerda que ese circuito controlador de carga el TP4056 es para una bateria y no para 3 a menos que encuentres un cargador para tal fin. voy a publicar una solución que encontré en la red usando un rele de 5V

Ashiq Avadia as long as Lithium Ion Batts. You can use also batt from cellphone.

To keep the battery in the box which is made it is ok but for the led they should have been out side

You can use inplix, it has the best handbooks and ready instructions. You can learn much from them and make it yourself.
