Love your spa benches. You made it look so easy, even the sanding (which has always been my least favorite part). I really love your first spa bench in your home! The legs look like they are angled out, giving it a much prettier profile. Thanks for sharing this project with us. Blessings in Christ Jesus...

I love these benches!! Beautiful! Just a thought, when I sand the project I use a piece of that “rubbery” shelf liner on the work bench to protect the wood from scratches. It also holds the project from moving around during sanding! ❤️

Mary the benches look beautiful and are so well crafted! For me they seem a little too complicated for my first time project though. I'm sure those who watch your channel who have more experience could make them with no problem. I've repaired furniture but have never built any, I think I need something a bit simpler to make for the first time.

Dear Mary, The benches you made look so well made and they’re beautiful. As for the whipped body butter, I want to suggest lavender and vanilla (an unbeatable combination) and cinnamon and nutmeg. A white pine and clove would be heavenly, too.

Mary I would love to know approximately what it cost you to make those. I almost purchased one of those for myself and a friend recently from Amazon. Of course, I'm sure it's not nearly as structurally sound as yours but since I do not have all the tools you do, I don't have a lot of choices. I wondered if it was worthwhile to spend what they were asking?

Hi Mary! Terrific job! 👍🏻 You're so gifted! I was just curious how these are holding up. Not certain how much action they’ve gotten yet but thought I’d ask anyway. Thank you so sweetly for the tutorial! I’ve been wishing for one of these for ages but they’re so costly. But now, I know how to create one! Just not certain yet what kind of wood to utilize. I hope to hear back from you! 🫶🏻

Good morning sweetie. Thank you so very much for sharing this project!! You continually amaze me with your skills and creativity! I know you have a life to live but I could watch you every day! 🥰 I just have a suggestion that you add screw in silicon pads to the bottom of the legs. These will add safety to prevent slipping and also keep the legs from sitting in water while trying to dry. See you next week!!

Mary, those came out so nice, but I have a question. I have a Kreg jig, but always thought you had to use their screws, but it looks like you used regular screws. Is that right? They’re not Kreg screws? I hope that’s true because regular screws cost much less than their brand.

Nice work but even if you don't do that much woodworking I'd recommend wearing a dust mask when using your power tools. Even with plenty of outdoor air there's quite a bit of particulates going into the air that you could be breathing in that won't be good for your lungs over the years. The really fine particulates are accumulative exposure concerns as they're too small for your body to get rid of them. Especially, when you're cleaning and using the compressed air on your table saw, etc. Some woods are a bit toxic and can cause allergic reactions after prolonged exposure to the saw dust to watch out for as well. RZ Mask is pretty popular for something that can be quickly put on and taken off, along with a few other options, but 3M has a number of options that will also provide vapor protection when doing spray finishes, painting, etc. work. with replaceable filter cartridges that you can get for the specific work you're doing. Again, nice work, just always good to be a little pro-active on wearing safety gear when working with power tools even when your risks may seem to be low.

Cute spa benches, do you think it would be beneficial to put some kind of plastic ends on the bottoms of the legs so as the water drains down ward they won’t hold water between the end wood and the tile floor. To keep the ends from rotting and/ or expanding. Just thinking. Body butter would be good for the bottoms of your feet at night after showering. So thoughtful of your husband comes to check on you. ♥️ Pebbles adores you! It’s so evident.

These benches are so nice, would love to have one myself, I'm impressed how well you work with wood, and create items, I have one question, when you sweep up your saw dust, and shavings, I noticed you put them probably in the trash, why not place the shavings in your flower beds, I do that ,and it just adds to the soil amendments.

Just a suggestion... You could put some little chairs glides into the bottom of the legs just so they would set just slightly out of the water when not in use. Maybe it would help with not swelling or rotting the wood quite as quickly. 😊
