Great video. Please could you tell me how long I need to maintain 70 degrees on the metal pipe? Many thanks.

You just heat the pipe up to about 80 celcius degree. Maitain this temp about 1 minute long. It should conduct enough heat to heat PU tubing to about 70 degree. Then the tubing should release tension inside and shrink to spiral shape.

Great idea. Thank you very much. Can you specify the time you heated the tube?

Just watch the temperature rising, let it go up to about 70 degree celsius. Then the plastic will soften and take shape of the spiral.

@@chaosdiyworkshop458 Thank you very much ! I tried that, it worked. However, there is a few notes to take ( I am using a PVC tube): 1) Because the surface of the metal piece is not the same shape as the tube you start to get a flattened tube surface at the interface between tube and the hot metal rod. 2) The spiral does not seem to be permenant; i.e. if you try to unroll it and straighten it, it will lose some of its loops. Maybe beccause I am using a PVC tube with a 9mm outer diameter which is slightly thick but it is good to keep in mind. Thank you very much though !!! Helfpul when needed.

@@mohammedhammouda2692BTW I‘m using polyurethane tube which is much softer than pvc tube.
