If you run it very fast the guy on the back deck his feet will get wet. I need to make a splash guard

I need to come up with some sort of a shield

Mapp gas didnt work because between the vise and the two clamps you had so much heat sink mass it would take a long time even to get to 700 degrees

Marty. Thank you. I felt like the 1/2 inch piece was stopping me I didn’t even think about the vice being part of the equation.

You really don't need to go through all that. Just drill the prop and 1 inch pvc cap. Bolt to 1 end of the stock prop, and you have a good splasher. Trust me. It works.

Why not just epoxy those end caps right on the original prop

Well I thought about it. but sometimes I use this little 30lb trolling motor to push around my 12 foot boat. so I just loosen one nut and now I can change props and still go bass fishing. Thanks for the reply mikebruns1966 and thank you for watching.

Why not just find the guy that makes them and order… they are cheap!

Good idea. I did look for his number online and spoke to several guys at the lake and got tired of trying to track him down. Mainly I just wanted to see if I could do one. Thank you for the comment

I made my prop in about 20 minutes with one inch aluminum bar stock and two CPVC 90's. Heated the bar stock so it would melt its way into the CPVC. Been using it for a year and half without issue. A splasher is the number one must have to catch Hybrids!
