Oh my god! My bf and I went to that GW earlier tonight and I found the “Sick of it all” and “Not today Clown” painting and immediately scooped them up! My bf and I are obsessed with them! Oh so like Gerhard Richter, the absolute *Master* of this technique. I think you might enjoy his work and thinking process. He also always changes his style so there is both abstract and photorealism. My favourite thing was this interview where they film him doing art and he says “I really like it… for now. In three hours I will come back and hate it and paint over it again but for now this is good.”

I’d love to see you try to work with plaster to made 3d textures on the canvases before you paint! Canvas might not work, but a wooden board or some sort of material that won’t bend like canvas!

I started taking animation in college because art was always my hobby and I couldn't imagine myself doing anything else. You definitely could try out fun textures seeing how great these turned out, splatter paint with a paintbrush, use sponges and anything you want to try, would love to see it

You should try making fluid art! I’ve only tried with nail polish but it’s insanely easy to DIY it. Basically, you add a “fluid medium” to a bunch of paint colors and you get insane patterns. I love watching people make it with acrylic paint and I’d do it more often if I could handle the fumes 😂
