Hey bud, long time no see. Haven't commented in quite a while. Hope you're doing well. I've got a question. What type of wood would you recommend for these 2 projects? This might be something else you can touch on in the types of wood for certain projects. There is so much involved in woodworking, and most videos barely scratch the surface. Anyway, keep up the good work

Great to see an upgraded version of a beginner project and that stackable shoe bench is a cracker. I like it! I think some people will appreciate seeing what "make it your own" can look like when you remake a beginner project. The one thing I would change, and this is just a personal preference, is skip the music when you speed up the video. I prefer to hear tool sounds or voice over, when it's appropriate. You're putting together a great channel!

I appreciate that Ken. This series will post every other Friday, the Friday in between is where we post our beginners series. think you might be a tad wrong on giveaway cause most of the time you are giving away information that is just as helpful as any item. ( make it your own still in play ) you can take the shoe rack and slant the platform and add a front edge and make it into a can rack for a pantry ( cans of food ) great show Tim.

I’m not much of a woodworker, I’ve done some frame carpentry. But I want to do projects like this, ie building functional pieces. I am more interested in doweling and pocket screws, with hidden joinery. Would that be considered more advanced rather than intermediate?
@NuKraftWorkshop4 ай бұрын
Not at all!! we will definitely be using pocket hole joinery and dowels on this series. I consider advanced to be more along the lines of things like dovetails, furniture making, turning, etc… we’re going to build some really cool stuff on this series!!

I have a hercules full router and I've been looking for a build to lower and raise my router on a table like yours, but I can't seem to find a router base for my Hercules router. Any suggestions. , do like that paper towel and never thought to use a table saw to make those lines. I thought you put boards together. Appreciate this tutorial. Also, that sho rack can be useful with other things. I also enjoy Southpark character..lol😂
@NuKraftWorkshop4 ай бұрын

@NuKraftWorkshop HERCULES 12 Amp Variable Speed Fixed Base Router with Plunge Base Kit Model HE041AC Volts 120 Accessories IncludedFixed base, plunge base, 2-1/2 in. plate for fixed base, (1) edge guide, (1) wrench, (1)1/4 in. collet, (1) 1/2 in. collet, (2) vacuum adapters Amperage12 This is what I got because of budget and price. Also, I am enjoying the new saw, and thank you for this gift. I see your router table and would love to make one, but I need a base that can lower and raise like yours. Hopefully you can find it because I have been looking.
@NuKraftWorkshop4 ай бұрын
@BrandonCabanillas that router should work in most lift mechanisms…. Use the rocker lift but there are a ton of options out there.Kreg and rockler are both going to be in the 300 range, Jessem surprisingly is less than 250, and there are a few aftermarket/Amazon mechanisms out there but I don’t know anything about them. You could probably get by with a cheaper table like powertec (I actually like their products a lot) but don’t skimp on the lift. You need it to be accurate and it needs to stay in place when you get it to your height
@BrandonCabanillas4 ай бұрын
@NuKraftWorkshop ok, I will look into Rocker. I will save for it. I will invest into something a bit more because I think about how it can affect in the long run. Example table saw I research and found out dewalt was best.. safest is sawstop, but it was pricey. Dewalt, too, but we saved and got it with a stand and wheels. I love it. Sometimes alternatives are ok because of savings, but sometimes you need to spend more to get that quality. Thank you for your advice it helped me. I was not sure what to do
