I've made one with a $5 wiffle ball bat full of sand and then wrapped in gaffers tape. Works well. This was the "fat bat" in the toy sec of Wal Mart. Weighs 9.75 lbs full loaded. Process should be self-explanatory.

Have you ever tried making the clubs with an old aluminum bat? I'd be interested to see how that would be done. thx

i did the same but poured concrete in so it would settle; has a nice thick handle

That bottle of pvc glue cost more than $3. No way that project is less than $3. More like $5-$7.
