Honestly, I've been looking at DIY collection systems all night. Fell down the rabbit hole again. THIS is my best find so far. I was looking at building a new frame/box for my giant shop vac or buying a new one, and you just simplified all of it. I subscribed just now, as a thank you, but just a piece of advice, try giving a script a shot. It works for some people, and not for others, but it might help smooth out the jumpiness you have while speaking at times and increase your confidence on camera. Coming from someone with ADD, it helped me a lot any time I had to do public speaking.

thanks for the advice and i am glad you like my idea. I hope to continue to get better with time and practice so let me know how I do on the next ones.

Thank you for posting this solution. I have two Dyson vacuums that I have collected recently and have been looking for something to try with them.

Do you have any videos with it running? Want to see how quiet it is.

Can You show more details on how you setup the vacuum? I have the same one and we no longer use it as the bottom part doesn’t work anymore.

I will be doing more like this in the future so i will give more detail on how i do it in my next videos. basically i took the power head off and trashed it.

I like your thinking, but just do not have the space for that many vacuums. Second hand vacuum cleaners can be picked up for $10-$12 at Goodwill or other thrift stores. I have seen a used but working shopvac at a Habitat for Humanity Restore. One suggestion: try to limit the length of hose - longer hoses generate lots of friction, reducing airflow. More information about that vacuum on the wall would be helpful - how it was modified for example. Thanks.

good job coming up with an alternative. nothing wrong with coming up with solutions outside what everyone is doing.

So many people making youtube videos just talking and jot showing anything. No one cares about your other stuff and go straight to the point.
