The simplest ways to kook food is wait until only hot coals remain when all the flames are gone just put youre dish on the hot coals. Just keep an eye on it.

That's accurate for cooking but not necessarily the best way to bake, in my experience proper coals are better made from hardwoods and if you camp where it's primarily softwood it tough to make good coals.

Great video! I just ordered this oven after saying I was going to build one for 2 years. What is the "professor's log cabin mix"? I just googled it and came up empty.
