Peltier elements are quite active in terms of cooling. And then it depends on whether you need to cool down the cabinet much below the room temperature. Peltier elements are horribly inefficient, compared to fans or compressor,

@ it's not suitable for any tank, because compared to this device, it's actually easier to build a Peltier cooling system that is both more efficient and takes up less space. And for a small tank that pump is way too big. Just the entire design is flawed from the start.

From what I know aluminum and copper are bad for your fish in an aquarium. is that a stainless steel water block?

Thats aluminium and I previously used it for freshwater, which is still okay. Dont use aluminium in Saltwater tank.

Hi Bro! Your video is quite informative and impressive. Kindly advice for my aquarium along with sump, the water volume is estimated to 250 ltrs. I am planning for four (4) Peltiers, 4# Water Blocks, 4# Heat Sink & 4# Fans along with 1# common water pump in Sump. Using 1# pump for delivery in the display tank. Please do revert. Rgds.

Hi there, thanks for the kind words. Peltier cooler is not cost effective for larger tank. It is better to use the normal aquarium chiller (compressor type) to chill down your tank. My recommendation is not to go down this journey at all.

I dont think so as aluminium can corrode in saltwater. I dont think its recommended for saltwater aquarium.

Utk peltier tak perlu dual function...hanya pakai cool function je..bila temp naik, power on..bila temp turun sehingga suhu yang di tentukan, power akan cut.

This is almost ideal one of my expectation for peltier cooling system, did you measure the lowest temperature of this cooler can reach? and what environment temperature when it reached the lowest temp? thank you

Peltier is only "suitable" for small tank. It can definitely go low such as 20°c but that would mean running for 24hrs non stop which is really not ideal. This project is more towards educational rather than real practical use, i would say

I would say something as small as a 30cm cube tank? Like I've mentioned Peltier Chiller is not the go-to chiller but rather a nice DIY project that one could try and experience it for themselves.

Actually I don't really recommend using peltier to chill your aquarium. As there are many external factors that could cause the chiller not to work efficiently. One peltier alone may or may not cool down your 30cm tank..it may take even longer time to cool it down so you will need to try and see if it works or not.

Thermostat ini berfungsi sebagai on/off switch dan saya berkongsi bekalan kuasa yg sama. Satu wayar Live di sambung ke PSU. Lepas tu wayar neutral di sambung ke thermostat mengikut diagram wiring yang ditunjukkan. Klu masih tak paham, message sy kat FB messenger (nama yg sama), sy tunjuk kamu secara berasingan.
