DIY Thrift Flip Home Decor! The pedestal bowl, aged, stone vase, and modern basket were some of my favorite finds from our last "thrift with me" video.
Today, we're taking these home decor pieces and giving them new life with a beautiful, modern look for less.
My favorite thing about DIYing is seeing your vision come to life in the end. These simple projects I worked on today weren't in need of much, just a little change of color, texture but the character was already there. I love finding pieces that don't need much and don't have to be significantly changed to shine. Although I do love a good challenge too though.

I love doing DIYs too. My current small project is to remake 2 thrifted pitchers. Purchased for $2.50 apiece( they had horrible 1990 colours of burgundy and green fruit motifs) . Used white spray paint primer to cover design. Tried baking soda mixed with chalk paint. Looking so good! Thanks for more inspiration ( the stone textured spray paint!)❤️🇨🇦

Hi Valerie! I've seen a number of your videos now (thank you so much! :)) I have a couple of questions: what's the difference between mortar, plaster and quick drying cement? Do you have a preference in working with these materials? Also, I live in the northeast-I want to do some pots to go outdoors. We get heavy rain, cold, heat, etc. I would take them in during the winter to avoid the freezing temps & snow. Do you know of a protective sealer (spray preferred) that I could use?
