When I tie dyed my socks it was the Nike crew ones they returned back white after I washed them, please can you tell me why this is? I made sure they were damp before I applied the dye

That happened to me too that’s why this time I left the dye on there longer cause I wanted it to be darker I don’t know exactly why it does that but i left it for a full day and it seemed to help

You can use any type of sock I have tried with other ones but this time I felt like the color really soaked in with a thicker sock but I left the dye on them for awhile, so I don’t think it matters :)

I followed exactly how you did it and the dye just rinsed out or made the sock a solid color. What am I doing wrong 😕

Aww sorry it didn’t work but maybe you put too much dye.. I know when I’m putting the dye on I always feel like it isn’t enough but leave some parts white because once you rinse it will put some in other spots and did you leave it on the sock for a full day before you rinsed them?

Yes I do but just be careful have to do them each separate so they don’t spill the color on anything or each other

I tried doing socks the other day and the yellow and pink didn’t really hold which I was bummed about but I’m thinking maybe because the socks were dry? Oh well I’m determined to try again lol

Yes def try again!! maybe try soaking them first and when you leave the dye on maybe leave it longer like a day at least to help it really soak in :)
