I made my own using Elmer’s Glue All and it works too. I cannot remember whose video it was where I got the idea. I’ve got lots of Dimensional Magic and am going to give this recipe a try. Your other diy recipes have been spot on. I can’t wait to try this!
@PinkPoodleCrafts6 жыл бұрын
elmers glue works but doesnt give the dimension of this and takes a bit longer to dry but if you dont care about the texture or the dry time then totally, that would work too

+Beth Davis This is how I make mine: in a 4 oz spray bottle, fill up almost 3/4 with warm water, fill the rest with glossy or matte mod podge. Add a dime size silver pearlized acrylic craft paint if you want shimmer. Shake well, and play. Takes a couple minutes to set up or use a heat gun for 45 seconds about a foot away, and remember to keep the bottle capped.

Small fish swim just as good as the others. If contained in a small fish bowl, the gold fish stays small. But place it in a pond it grows profoundly. ;)

I love the fact that you watch the videos and have an idea how this works or what it can be. I really love Ranger and Tim Holtz Products but they are so pricey and why buy a new thing when you can make it out of old things? I really love your videos, found you because of microglaze (was about to order it) and now I just ordered alcohol and try it with vaseline. And now I have something new to play with (tomorrow) gonna try it with a little bit of my glossy accents because I dont have that much. Thank you for your tips and sharing all this, you are amazing ♥
@angelaorr33306 жыл бұрын
Stacy I think the whole ranger company cares very little about crafters just maximum prophet we had disstress inks which were good then they made the mini,s and people, highly intellegent people had to have them also, now oxides ! great if you have loads of dosh and nothing else to spend it on but lots of us dont and those highly successful women crafters who perpetuate his stuff and we all know who they are should be ashamed of themselves. So kudos to you for exposing this and showing us cheaper ways to achieve the same result at a fraction of the cost.(thats my rant over ) love you videos. I live in northern ireland we dont have joannes and all the other knock down craft places so we pay full whack for most things.
@PinkPoodleCrafts6 жыл бұрын
I dont think Ranger is a bad company at all... I dont think they are doing anything but trying to make products that people want... 9 times out of 10 when ranger makes a new product, its because people asked for it... in droves. I dont feel ashamed of myself for buying their products, they have great things for crafters and I buy their stuff too. Yes, I made a couple of faux products of theirs but thats just it, they are faux... i dont think the things I make are exactly like theirs or in no way the same formulation... i just try to make a substitute for folks to save money but not because ranger's things shouldnt be purchased. Craft companies have to come out with new things, even if they are a different take on something they already have because there is a market for it... and if people want to buy all of it, so be it but that doesnt mean anyone should be ashamed of themselves (unless of course they are using their rent money to buy it and if thats the case thats their issue not Rangers). Im not trying to come down on what you said but I dont think Ranger should be blamed for peoples spending habits... no one holds a gun to consumers heads to buy these things. As far as the distress inks vs minis.... they did that because people who couldnt afford all the colors of the larger distress pads, could afford a 4 pack of their fav colors for much cheaper than the larger pads. I understand what youre saying but your putting your frustrating on the wrong people... people who spend their money on everything that come out... they make that decision, not ranger..
