What is the size? Is this 6 x 6? Trying to determine how many of the roof top pieces I would need.

what length and brand screws you used to attach the 2x6 to the 4x4? i am planning to build the same size as you did.
@daburg8110 Жыл бұрын
Nice work.......did you have to cut the 2x4 shorter ends on an angle to fit into the braces since they are on a slope?
@akarmenia14 ай бұрын
I had this same question
@dtc98742 жыл бұрын
Will the whole thing get blown away when it’s really windy? My carport was blown up to my neighbor’s end so I had to secure it to the concrete. Will that happen to this structure too?
@revolvinggarage54252 жыл бұрын
It’s secured by a couple screws to wall. But not much. Haven’t had any issues in weather
@Andrrew05 Жыл бұрын
The wood was wet because its fresh cut delivered pieces. Looks great!

I can’t remember specifically but I got it from Home Depot. Only brand they had in the tinted clear.

Nice work. I want to build one for my grill area. How long were your 4x4s originally and what did you cut the back ones down too? Thanks

Here is my notes from when I built it, quite a while ago and not sure if it’s what I ended with. I’m also not good at match so double check lol. 90” tall in front- 2x 2x2 88” tall in rear- 2x 2x2 90” wide gap between 2x2 frame 80” length gap Materials needed: 4- 2x2s 4- 2x4 or 2x6 for upper frame 7- 2x4 for roof Left rear 4x4- 84” Right rear 4x4- 82” Left front 4x4- 88” Right front 4x4- 86” Rear 2x3- 93.5” Side 2x3s- 72” Space raftors by 1ft 2x4 length 79-7/8 $270

Is this holding up? Any wobble with this design? Trying to plan one on my deck
@revolvinggarage54252 жыл бұрын
Still holding up great, if a wobble worries you, then put a diagonal support beam in or anchor it

How is this holding up? The wood doesn’t look pressure treated. Getting so many mixed messages on if should use PT lumber or not

I attached mine to the pre existing posts in the side. You could do a diagonal 2x4 to eliminate that or dig in ground
