Thanks, Bro. I might do the full tour at some point. When I moved in 3 years ago, there was nothing in the back yard but a plastic shed and chain link fence, so we've been busy. Thank you for the kind words. Chris

That’s a fantastic build! Reminds me of the small dive bars on the gulf coast of florida. Relaxing, comfortable and a splash of personal style. Hope you have many years of enjoyment out there.

Thank you for the kind compliment. I didn't realize it at the time, but we love those little dive beach bars. I guess that was in the back of my mind as I worked on the project. Maybe that's why I just like hanging around out there so much. Even in this cold ass weather...I still grill it up. :-)

@@armandoledesma3699 That's okay. I have a copious amount of Prilosec in the house to remedy the heart burn until they learn how to cook like us rednecks do. Which they will eventually until America elects a real president again and he/she shows them the door back to their sh*t hole countries.

Currently working on a smaller scale Tiki Bar with a similar design. I have a weird question, with all the lighting how is you bug control in the summer? I am in Missouri and thinking about that ahead of time. Thanks. Great backyard!
@ChrisGriffithCrimeAuthor2 жыл бұрын
Splintor13, thank you for the kind comment. It was functional all summer last year and wasn't much of a problem aside from the obvious fact that it is open to the outside. For the crawlers, I have our pest control dude spray around and inside the shack each time he does our quarterly house visit. I began that when I noticed the first roach behind the grill. That really helped. The spiders love to spin their webs in the top corner of the bar opening. I would walk out there in the mornings before work and knock down their new construction. The flying pests weren't any problem while using the shack because I would run that heavy duty fan while out there. Not just because of any flying critters, but due to the summer heat. Overall, it's not been a large enough problem for me to be concerned about. I hope you enjoy your shack as much as we have ours. Have a great summer! :-)

Very nice shack. Do like the slatted vents across the top allot. Subscribed and would like to see some action/entertaining around this shack. Your last video was a year ago, please do some more when you get the chance and greetings from across the pond :)
@ChrisGriffithCrimeAuthor Жыл бұрын
Many Thanks! I'll work on your request. We have SO much pollen this time of year, it leaves a layer of yellow looking dust on everything outside. but, as I had to do last year, I'll be out there cleaning everything up and I'll be happy to do a second video. Just last week I received a shipment of lumber for an arbor on the opposite side of the pavilion which will include adult and kids swing for the grandbabies. When finished in the coming weeks, we'll do another one. Right now I'm back working full-time, so I only have the weekends again. Thanks again and take care over there across the pond. Chris 🙂

Great job my man ! I’m currently putting a swimming pool in my Arizona back yard , as soon as i can im going to do something real close to what you have done..! Mine will be 55 CHEVROLET INSTEAD… 😎 I’m glad i found this so i can stay on course , enjoy your creation, and GOD BLESS ! 🏁🇺🇸✝️
@ChrisGriffithCrimeAuthor Жыл бұрын
@@Naoj2024 Thanks you! You are very kind and I wish you the absolute best with your project. A 10 x 16 will be a great size for your grill area, even larger than mine. If you ask me though, it can't be too big 🙂 The Chevrolet theme will look sharp. My neighbor two doors down is a Classic Chevy guy and has a couple of beauties in his garage. As you said, stay on course and keep at it until it's exactly what you hope for. Mine required months, but I use it minimum 4 times per week. Let me know how it goes. Chris

What did you use for the base plates connecting the 6x6 to the deck?
@ChrisGriffithCrimeAuthor2 жыл бұрын
Hi Jonathan. I used steel U shape brackets for the 6x6 posts. 2 lag screws in the bottom into the deck per bracket and 2 lag screws into both sides where they come up around the post. Once I build the walls, each was also attached to the deck at the bottom with 3 inch deck screws in between each stud. When all the walls were set up, decking screws attached them to the posts. When everything went together, it made it very solid. Attaching the roof made it even more solid. Thanks for the question and for watching. Chris 🙂
