Our back patio needed some love and the Traeger needed some protection. So I took down the pergola and put up a patio cover!

Looks great, Brandon. Even though it wasn't a woodworking project, you were working with wood. That counts in my book. Besides, any time you can work outside, it's a plus. Take care and keep smiling. Bill

Nice patio cover. Simple and effective. I suggest you store the grill up against the house while not in use to maximize the cover's protection of the grill.

Yea but that's a little dangerous and would probably turn the siding a different color haha.

@@WalkersWoodworks .... I meant roll it out for use and roll it back when cool. My first house had damage to the vinyl siding from the previous owner being a dumb ass trying to use it against the house. I had them repair it prior to purchase and learned a valuable lesson on their dime.

Great work, question: can I use this method to build a longer version like a 25x20 patio cover on my existing concern slab (I will add more 6x6 posts)? Just wondering about your expertise & opinion?

Ya had me until the Power Pro screws. Lol. Sure, they might not strip easy, but that's Torx heads in general. They do cam out a lot if you use a T-25 bit. They're ok if you toss out the T25 bits, and have a T26 or T26.5 bit instead (but not too many people use those.) If they'd just give their torx heads a bit more depth, and a hair more snug, they'd be fine. But until then, GripRite will be more than adequate. They stay on your bit, and don't wobble. Other than that, great job on the build. Looks like it'll be there for a while :)

I did and yes I definitely advise it. I used existing anchors though from the old structure.

Did you add a slope to the roof or is it flat? If so, does it drain?
