You must be financially responsible and hard working to have carefully saved enough to do so. Otherwise your comment would come off a little petty and/or cheap, potentially even insulting to those that do save their money for the things they love instead of buying new, cheap, stuff every few months. But really, if you don't like the idea of making your own tools, why make a snarky comment? Videos like this are usually aimed towards people that want to start their own shop/have their own shop and like to make their own tools instead of buying the more common stuff from retail. Nothing more satisfying than using something you made, to make something else.
