I thank everyone for following along in this truck build series. We still have a few more videos to go….(1) Electrical (2) Backseat delete & storage build (3) 8 Weeks in 10 min (a quick 10 min video of the full build series) (4) Full Tour video - empty (5) Full Tour video stocked (after a few months of use). That’s the plan anyways. Thanks for watching! 😁✌️

Bro, your travels will be great. I'm camping in the AZ Kaibab National Forest, (near Jacobs Lake). My Verizon service is working well. The Astro has gotten 400 miles a tank on this drive. Scott

Looking good! Can't wait for the electrical!

Cool, thanks! The clips for the electrical are shot, so just a matter of putting the video together. I’ll give people a few days to watch this new one, then begin compiling the Electrical video. 👍 Thanks for watching/commenting. ✌️

Troy, I need enough power to fun a roof vent fan, a fridge like yours, to recharge my electric hair trimmer, cordless razor, and cordless flosser. (The 12v fridge will need a lot of power, but I do not think the roof vent fan will). I will install as much solar as I can. I plan on using a Renergy 3000-watt inverter/charger. The biggest concern I have is charging batteries for the "Zero Breeze" 12v air conditioner. Each detachable battery only lasts about two hours. I will need four. They will need to be charged during the day. I will use them at night, as for six months a year Phoenix is 100° even at night. Any advice, if you have please give me. TIA boss. 🫡

Looks real good. ‘A Chance of Rain’ is an appropriate colour name for a camper - it would be for me, anyway. 👍🏻

I figure you got distracted from the video schedule by being already out there acclimating to your new rig and enjoying the Fall weather.

You know me well…..😁 I finished the truck and rolled back to Houston in Sept. I’ve been hanging with friends and family since. Have had a blast. The truck is awesome! Going to one one my best friend’s daughter’s wedding this weekend, then I think I’ll hit the road. 😁

@@TravelingTroy Just so we know you're okay. 😊 I'll be keeping my eyes peeled to see how you developed your pressure cooker mojo after you got that cookbook.

Wow, beautiful job. I feel like paint may be my best bet for upgrading my older class b van. I really like your accent colors. That orange is really nice with the blue and grey. I can't wait for your electrical system video. I just got the power bank I ordered on Amazon prime day. I am hoping to use it to power most of the house side of the older class b van. I don't have to do anything to use it in the minivan, just plug and play. Thank you for another great video.

Yes, the colors seemed to work well together. Thanks for the feedback. I wish I would have painted the Astro van interior years ago. Haha! It was actually kind of relaxing just sanding and painting for a few days. Taking a break from normal build activities. Paint could really spruce up your Class B. 👍 The electrical on my truck is very basic. We learned from my years with the van what low power needs I had, so we scaled back the electrical setup. I think it will be a good video to show that more and more and more power isn’t necessary. 😉

@@TravelingTroy yes,I found my power needs are minimal too. I don't do television or own a laptop computer. Just phone, tablet and a Kindle ereader. I have not used the microwave in the van, so it may go too. I do need to change out the DC, light bulbs for LEDs and there are two vent fans, a 12" square one and a 4" round one, like the vent fans on your topper.

@@anitasimmons3599 It looks like you’ve got the idea. The less items you have which require an inverter, the less power you will need. I have converted my daily use items to USB power only, but I do still have 2 or 3 items which need 120 volts from the inverter. I use those only once about every other week. Good idea changing out the bulbs. 👍 Ah! You caught that in my video? My 6in dome fans. Yes, I installed two of them over the kitchen area. I’ll talk about them in my next video. 😁

Big Troy, anything new? February 2024?
@kathrynarnold196611 ай бұрын
You ready yet to tell us what you've learned in your new rig?
@TravelingTroy10 ай бұрын
Hi Kathryn! Yes, I have learned quite a bit about my new rig. I moved into it in Mid-Sept and live full-time in it, so that’s over 4 months now. Videos to continue in February. I’ll start planning videos out now, but gatherings for my Dad’s 80th b-day and the Super Bowl are currently on my mind. I was considering going to AZ with all the other Nomads for the warm temps in the winter, but Houston temps have been fine. I’ll stick it out here, then make plans as it starts to warm up. Thanks for checking up on me. 😀 I hope you are doing well. 👍

@@TravelingTroy Enjoy your time with family. We're seeing so many signs of two-months early Spring here in central NC. Even my houseplants are showing it... one that normally blooms at Easter is already in full bloom! 🤯
