Hey you, thanks for clicking on the video. I just wanted to let everyone know that I've been having some hard times with my content lately, and think that some of the recent videos and things I've filmed don't line up. I'm deciding to promise one video a week, on Thursdays, could change soon, but I really want to give the best content possible and don't know if I've been doing that more recently.

When passing things through places like your truck-cap for example, it's a good idea to think about using grommets. They are disk-like rubber pieces that fit into an opening and provide a through-hole for passing wires, and the like through them for quietness and providing an opening that doesn't have sharp edges. Kind of after the fact now, but in the future it may be useful.

If it were me, I would have drilled the bed instead of the cap to run wires through. I don't know about Ford, but my Toyota Tundra has knockouts that the manufacturer put in the bulkhead of the truck bed. I'll be using that as a chase for my wires. With that said, I do like the videos that you put out. You make some mistakes, but you own them and learn from them. In turn, your audience learns valuable tricks for their overland builds. Great stuff, Mav! Keep on Truckin!

Mav Great way to mount the solar panel Looks easy to remove the panel if need to Idea for the cables going through the topper drill hole a little bit bigger and put a rubber grommet in the hole and run cables through the rubber grommet so cables dont rub on the fiberglass Another idea on your cables before the cables go into your topper get a good all weather plug type connector to put there so if you ever have to remove your topper all you have to do is unplug it

Hey Mav, I know I'm 2 years late but just for future build outs harbor freight sells assorted size packs of rubber grommets for when you drill a hole to run wires or whatever through something like the truck topper. They're nice so you do t have to glue it and you can take the wire back out if you ever need to

I suggest Marinette County for all your outdoorsy fun. Also considered the waterfall capitol of WI, it's right up there in northern WI where the Chequamegon-Nicolet National Forest lay...more than a dozen waterfalls, tons of fishing and public land for hunting, camping, state parks, whatever you want for a secluded experience.

Maverick, I think that you are so popular because you are fun, unique, and excited about the outdoors. To be honest when you were living in LA, it was difficult for you to make videos that I think you were really proud of. I think that you had some quality videos, it just seemed that you were struggling for content. I personally like your videos and look forward to them. How id=s the fishing going to be in the middle of WI? Now that you moved in with Hannah at her folk's rental, are you stillll planning on living out of your truck part of the year in order to explore the outdoors in other parts of the country? Don't worry so much about what you are doing. Your videos are unique and spontaneous. I don't want you to sacrifice those elements in an effort to put out "The best content possible." You would not have as many subscribers and fans if they did not already like your stuff.

Mav awesome video buddy!! Sorry you ended up breaking your topper window!! I definitely no how you feel cause I’ve definitely been there also!! But usually when I used to do something so dumb like that my anger would come out even more & of course it would end up costing me even more $$$$!!!! Lol!! But over the years I’ve gotten slightly better at just taking it as it is!! Stuff just happens!! Back in the days when my dad ran toppers he had a rubber blow up tube that would be in between the cab & the topper so it would keep the weather out & when us kids would sit in back we could still talk to mom & dad!! That might be a cheaper option for you plus you could then use the cab heat to help keep you & Hanna warm in the back!!! Lol!! You should do more videos with Hanna & you together!! Hopefully everything works out for both of you!!!

Have you thought about putting a battery switch in? Like one of those Perko switches you find in boats. Could come in handy if you want to isolate one of the batteries for charging or if you drain one battery it could save the other for starting the truck. Just thinking out loud.

Bolts Bro. I am putting solar in my F 150. Battle Born LiFePO4 battery [lithium] ridiculously over priced. A top of the line 120 watt foldable panel. And a bunch of other stuff that tells you how much juice you are using and how much time you got left, etc. An old friend is giving me a 240 watt panel, but it is big and heavy. Been looking for a rack but them babies are expensive. I would mount the big ass free panel on the rack. Might help a bit. My 120 panel is very light and I will be able to easily move it around when I'm camping...which will be all the time for now. I'm moving but don't know where. So I gotta hit the road.
