Just a suggestion, you might want to use a 10 TPI fine tooth hole saw because it makes cutting thin wall tubing much smoother

Yes I know. This video was made in a hurry. I only had a 32mm tootless hole saw at hand. I bougth a tct hole saw, and now it cuts great 😀

@@jarlehanssen wonder if clamping from the left would make this jig accept all smaller diameters too while still keeping them on the centerline

@@MaximKachurovskiy yes it would work for different diameters. But this one is made for 28mm only. Put the bolts on top for easy access.

This one is made for 28mm only. I have a peoject with a lot of 28mm tubing. But if you install the clamping bolts horizontally it will allways hold it in center when the square tubing is oriented this way.

@@jarlehanssen cuz its obvious, that your lathe isnt rigid enough, even if you make П - style fixture - toolpost will move and cannot handle this torque

I will thigten my slides and put a new holesaw. I noticed i lost a lock nut on one of the adjusting screws. And I will make a new video. I dont think it will be any problems, but maybe you are right, maybe I am 😉

​@@jerryvdm7961the tollpost was shaking as well. I have thigtened adjustment screws on the slides and the tool post was not thigth to the table. After I fixed this and changed my hole saw it works great.

It’s a good idea but you could have delivered in a more elegant way. The welded bolts/screws are awful! Why didn’t you thread plain round rod on your lathe, to the length you needed only, and weld plain rod again to form the T? Better still, use the same type of bolt as is on your tool post so that one tool tightens everything. Grind down your welds and Polish them with a flap disk so that nobody can call you a duckshit welder. 😊

Ofcourse I could. But it was made from scraps in about the time the video lasts. Had no plan to make a video, but just winged it. I will make my next video more to your liking 😃😉
