Love the casual conversation concept! It makes you even more enduring 😉. Won't my pre-k kids think I'm all that with a flower lei! I love sweets but try and eat as clean as I can, also! I'm a runner and a cancer survivor so I really try and limit the sugar. I do like a little sugar in my coffee and a small bowl of ice cream for an evening dessert.

Heaveno Katie, thanks for the visit, this was a nice chat. Always thought writing Hell-o to friends sounded strange. (Aaachew) "God bless you". Tea is great. The varieties are mind boggling. I read someone calling it Leaf juice. Lemon, ginger, green tea....ah, ya! Now all I need to do is figure out how to make Leis out if tea blossoms. Ha, drinkable art. Those leis look cool. The first one would look good on a baritone. You inspired a thought....I may make one with a shoelace and attache it to the wall to hold my uku. A flowered uku holder would look great, with or without a uku on the living room wall. When is your clothing line coming out? You would make some K-uku (cute) styles. Thrift stores are always an adventure. My best find was a $100 Pelican, crushproof, waterproof , equipment case with pluck out foam....$10. Oh yah. 80 Leis for your students, wow. I can only imagine if you had to purchase them premade. Your second Lei is a good color for that uku, it's blossoming. What a relief to discover what was ailing you. As to your foodie question. Real honey is my favorite sweetener. As a treat, chocolate. Actually anything covered in chocolate is good, strawberries, almonds, raisins, ice cream. Nice relaxing video, definitely like the format. My uku journal has a backlog of songs so I practiced while watching your craft chat. Thanks again Katie. I'll put the tea on for your next visit. Happy Lei Day.

Thanks Katie! I have a "Jimmy Buffett Party" coming up, (I do this twice a year, first Saturday in June, last Saturday in September). This year I will be using an ukulele for the first time in the show. I will dress my head-stock with a lei now that you have shown me how. I've done the show for the last 17 years, since moving to this little community in northern California. As to my Raging sugar addiction, LOL, caramel, especially salted caramel treats are at the top for me. Trying, with limited success, to curb these bad indulgences. This is such a fun video! I can’t wait to make my own leis for my new uke!! I love dark chocolate. That’s my favorite. I totally understand not being upset about quitting gluten. I’m basically pre-diabetic. Anyways, it was like a month of constantly feeling low blood sugar levels before I finally quit sweets all together, except dark chocolate. Tension tamer from Celestial Seasons is a great one. My favorite one is seasonal, but I hope you can find it. It's Decaf peppermint green tea from either Celestial Season or Trader Joes.
