I think the way you figured out how to cut the quilt for the back piece of the jacket was brilliant, it was very organic and made sense. You still used some math but you made it work for you! And the way you used the chair was really smart--I think you're a structural engineer!! You aren't a slave to specific tools because you build tools out of whatever you have. Basically you're the kind of person I'd want to hang with in an apocalypse because you'd figure out how to survive! LOL I love your videos!!

You are so creative! I am not personally into the patchwork but I love the colour your flannel turned out when you bleached it and I think it would have gone perfectly with that lining fabric on the outside rather than the quilt, but that's the beauty of your videos. They give me so many ideas and inspiration and I just love watching them. Thank you so much for what you do.

You are full of wonderful ideas. This is beautiful; and, it looks soft, warm and comfortable. I was thinking that this would be a great way to make a good warm Winter house coat (for those days when I am stuck at home sick or snowed in). Something to wrap myself up in while I curl up with a good book, or watch a movie, or knit, or crochet, or draw, or watch KZbin, or watch the snow fall. Something that will get everyone's attention when I walk down the hill to the mail box on a safe day (I'm not walking around out there if there is any ice on the ground). I'm sure everyone is sick of my old, polyester fleece, plaid house coat. Thank you for this wonderful lesson, ideas, and video.

Nice shape to this "formal" jacket, but all the patchwork on the back flounce detracted from the rest of the look that was attractive. To me, it made it look to authentically hobo. Fine line sometimes between boho chic and hobo chic. But, the workmanship is great to watch and very clever in large part. And, I loved the overall jeans.

Hi did I miss where you neutralized the bleached flannel? I saw you washed it but bleaching continues to deteriorate fabric if you don’t neutralize it, rinse in cold water then wash. Ask me how I know 😢
@tmyershandmade97824 күн бұрын
I bet you had piece that fell apart? I limit my bleach exposure and don't have an issue. I have bleached jeans that are over 5 years old with no holes or issues. I have neutralized with peroxide before, but not usually.🤗💗💗💗
@dorisamstutz588824 күн бұрын
@ yup was so disappointed that my light flannel shirt looked like I lived under a bridge for a year in it. I now rinse in cold water and then soak in a diluted peroxide bath for 10 min better safe than sorry. I think a lot depends on how much chlorine is in the bleach and the fabric content but because I sell my things I want them to last. I do so love the excitement of seeing how the color changes when you bleach flannel. I always watch your channel to fuel my creativity.

@@ellend7680 there is a great explanation on “wiki how” with various agents to use to neutralize bleach but peroxide is the easy and cheap way to
