Beautiful work! For future reference, if you start your stapling from the middle of your edge and work your way out to the ends, you can get the fabric tighter to the headboard without possible ripples in the fabric!

What is the "middle of the edge??"

Also, a bread knife for cutting foam, needs the serrations for a clean cut.

Yes, the middle of the edge, I would appreciate if you would let this dummie know what that means, I am a bit confused 😊 thanks in advance

I've spent ages thinking about doing this and watching loads of videos... Yours is the one that seems the clearest with the best result, I'm going to go for it tomorrow!!!
@JcramsАй бұрын
And it's done!!! Wow so easy! I had difficulties with an electric stapler but in the end a 5€ manual one did the job perfectly!! I used 2cm mousse so a bit thinner than this, and just an MDF precut board. Got the whole thing for about 150€ including the wall fittings 😊
@JcramsАй бұрын
Also I used an old sheet as the dust sheet which was a great idea as it seemed to smooth out my (badly cut) mousse. Thanks for this brilliant video!!

I could totally use this method to make the back panel(s) of a wall bench for my breakfast nook. Thank you

This video is just what I need. Recently moved and we cannot get our existing king-size upholstered headboard into the bedroom. So I've been wondering how I can achieve the same style but in smaller segments that will combine but will each fit the turn in the staircase. So thank you for sharing 😊

We’re moving & we’re selling/giving away EVERYTHING. I’m going to do this for my daughter’s bed! I decided to get her a full sized instead of a twin in the new house.. with having to replace everything else, it’s so costly! Her full size temporary bed is the basic metal frame from Amazon. This will add a touch! Thank you!

Wow! You rock! Been seeing these all over Amazon & love them, but they’re so outrageously expensive. Thanks for videoing this so clearly & posting the materials list too. I want to try it. How long did it take you to put it together once you got your supplies together?

Oh wow thank you for the positive feedback, I really appreciate it!! And I had to spread the work over a few days, so it took me about 12 hours total. Definitely not a short project, but I still think it was worth it! It’s held up really well😊

How many days and hours did it take?
@jessibee154 ай бұрын
It took me quite awhile because I had to spread it over several days, so it took me probably 12 hours total. You could save time by not doing the plain white fabric between the batting and corduroy. That step isn’t really necessary, I just did it in case I want to easily change the top fabric later on. Thank you for watching!!❤

Haha my stapler isn’t the best and if I don’t put extra pressure then the staples don’t lay flat! That’s why I’m leaning on it throughout😂
