If you put a tiny hole in the top of the egg as well as a larger hole in the bottom, you can blow through the tiny hole to push all the egg out. I remember doing that as a kid to make hollow eggs for crafting.

The most important part: if you're a kid and you want to buy or use needles for a craft, _always_ discuss it with your parent(s) or guardian(s) first!

If you want an easier way to seal the candy wrapper those chip bag resealers that are super cheap work really well. They do get super hot though so be careful!

Yes that's a great idea! I even have one from Sophie & Toffee years ago...I need to see if that works
@spleenforsoul3 ай бұрын
That's what I was thinking, too. Just melt whatever plastic. You could even use very, very tiny zip lock bags that you get tiny charms or jewelry in. They are only like 1 or 1/2 inch long. (Hopefully, you know the type of bag i'm talking about. They sell them in packs, too.) Put the vinegar in the tiny bag, zip it closed, and put in the balloon. It would be easy to pop once you need to.

Actually, the vacuum squishies can still be made with balloons. Just put you mouth to the hole and suck as much air out as you can while tying the knot as close the to beads as possible. If air leaks out cut the balloon open over a container to collect the beads and repeat the process in a hew balloon. This method could be more expensive, but it's an alternative for people who cant get a hold of the squishy covers.

It's a little funny to me to casually mention that you need medical needles, which to my knowledge are pretty hard to legally acquire without a prescription 😂 Here in the US anyway, if you're trying to shop in person. Who knows about buying online. I predict some exasperated pharmacists trying to tell crafters no. (I have a stock of needles from old medication that they refilled without me asking... but I think it's also illegal for me to give them to anyone.) Great video!
@maqaroon3 ай бұрын
Yes this can vary hugely depending on country, or area of the country. Though based on Instagram comments, it seems much easier to get them in the USA than anywhere else! (My husband is a dentist so I have easy access to needles and medical stuff 🤫)
@aaronanimation14633 ай бұрын
My mom has asked a local pharmacist for some medical needles and he said as long as she shows what she’s using them for he was able to sell some to her. Not sure if this will work with others ofc but something neat to know

I thought in some places they’re actually very easy to get as if you go into say a hospital and ask for one they have to give it to you bc it’s to prevent a certain disease spread by sharing needles
@stickitydoodah3 ай бұрын
I think in some parts of the US they give them to you no questions asked. Or they're supposed to. If you're gonna do something illegal it should be with a clean needle, I think is the idea

Instead of using an egg could you have an egg shaped mold then paint nail polish onto it then crack it? It might mean that there's more than one use of cracking if you can paint it over and over again ❤❤❤

For the latex balloon squishy, I wonder if after you remove the air, you cover the hole with a layer of liquid latex (the kind commonly used for Halloween makeup) to seal the hole?

for the egg taba, you could probably use plastic Easter eggs for the molds and do the actual painting on or adding clay for the shell 🤔 great video, and great ideas as usual!
@DangersGirl4Ev2 ай бұрын
That actually sounds cool but I’m wondering if painting it becomes too thin then she would have to add tons of layers. As for clay, it sounds kind of wasteful bc she uses daiso air dry clay. So maybe painting with nail polish?
@usermollyjimbles2 ай бұрын
Hey if you don't have eggs you could just use a thin layer of plaster, because the egg taba reminded me alot of the plaster clay cracking.

also with the crunchy ball squishy would it work if your put the first ballon and beads in another ballon to make it thinker to take out the air?
@maqaroon3 ай бұрын
I think it won't work because balloons are too fragile. The same way if there's a pinhole in any balloon, it will definitely deflate over time. Someone on my instagram mentioned that silicone or tpr has "self healing" properties when injected with a very thin object so it remains airtight. Unfortunately balloon latex can't do that
