Holy Moly. So many 'Wow's' in this build. The bed. The BED! All the room underneath. First time to see the crank-jacks on each corner and what a brilliant idea. Sure saves time and energy in trying to level the entire vehicle. The cabinet construction is awesome and those hinges. The SCREENED ENTRANCE, for crying out loud. Just very, very impressive. Did I say, 'WOW'?

Lisette, Kurt and Jasper are just such an example to us. The way they build this, enjoy life, are kind to all around them and themselves. We were lucky enough to join them on a trip. Unfortunately we never got to share the gin deck. One more reason to come back. The world needs more Kurts and Lisettes!

Gotta like the practical nature and build of this couple and their build(jabba too!). 🐕 It would be interesting to see their next van-build, and the balance of improvements. Good interview...all around. 😎👍

Thank you, Brian. I love the roof top deck. My late husband and I purchased a older Canadian built, Pleasure Ways van and had been taking trips for almost a year when he passed away. We had been doing up dates and now I am starting to travel part time in it solo. It is not the same, and I really miss him, but nature is so healing. It is wonderful to see a couple that is a team, each doing their part and enjoying each other. Having worked through some breakdowns while on the road as a couple and as singles before, it gives you confidence and stories. I really appreciate our lower milage, more dependable vehicles now, but don't worry about breaking down. I'm wishing this couple a long happy retirement together. Thank you again for filming for the channel Brian, and I hope to see you again down the road.

As a fairly new van lifer I find it really interesting watching how everyone adapts themselves to van life. I like hearing & seeing what they’ve made and done. It’s also interesting to see what they’d change if they had their time over again. Appreciate the effort you’ve gone to here.

I really do love this build. One thing that deters me is the need to source materials and components for everything. I love how resourceful these folks were (are) and how practical their set-up is. Great job!

Very cool! We always love seeing what others do in their vans. We personally went with the NO BUILD approach in our Ford Transit for a number of reasons, but it is always fun to get ideas from those who have done the builds. Keep making memories & adventure on! ~Karen & Shannon WOY

Awesome interview! Loved their energy and openness to share! Seems to me like the 100ah lithium is pretty undersized in relation to the solar panels. But that's fine if it works for them!

We do have a toilet! It is in the chair under our "Lagunot table" - he kind of glossed over it. It's a wc that I borrowed out of my parents' sailboat! Nice and simple.

Is it possible to cut holes in the front seats and put a cover on the hole. Then cut a hole in the bottom of the van so you can go poop or pee pee while you are driving? Im sure the waste will not ruin the roads.

Very nice build! I wondered about their retirememt, they look so young for that. Also curious about her dutch heritage. Was she born in Canada? And whereabouts does her family come from in the Netherlands? A very nice couple! Wish them safe travels.

I retired at 58, and my husband at 57! So not that young....my parents emigrated from Almelo, NL (east, close to Hengelo, in the Province of Twente) in 1961! My brothers and I are all dual citizens and all born in Canada.

I like the hand jacks for leveling the bed. I am trying to figure out how to hang my bed with pulleys so I can raise it to the ceiling, and then level each corner separately. You have got a leveling method that I did not know about. thanks. Ps. Is this a 250 or a 350 and do you have the Eco boost engine? I just test drove a 250 and it would not go up my steep driveway -- someone said that I need a locking differential.
