[DIY] Vintage German BAT Gasoline Blowtorch

Hello,
Today I am going to share with you the restoration of a vintage German-made "BAT" gasoline blowtorch. This restoration aims to refurbish the blowtorch both cosmetically and functionally. Hopefully my nest video will be a "test-fire" of this vintage tool. As a matter of fact, contrary to popular belief, liquid fueled blowtorches, such as this one still have some use in someone's workshop or garage, albeit a limited one. They are useful because gasoline has more energy than propane and thus they give out a much more powerful flame, but also when considering the price of gasoline VS propane canisters, so in the case of a much more serious or prolonged use these ancient devices are more cost effective to operate.

Zum einschrauben des vergaser teils in den tank soll man seife an das konische gewinde schmieren, habe ich in einer alten original anleitung gelesen. Weiche seife! Nicht flüssig. Das heraus schrauben geht oft sehr schwer, nur mit starker erwärmung...
