Awesome video ! I have been searching for a video to show how to make a 200 amp car battery charger that is easy to understand like this one . The one they sell use circuit board computer control type ..... not good for this . I need a manual 200 amp car charger to revive some old car battery . Any help in guiding me in the right direction would greatly appreciated ! Thanks
@ggggcjjhh Жыл бұрын
a 200 amp car charger would over power your car battery and a car battery is dc transformers only work with ac, so you would damage/blow up your battery. you could rectify the output of it but you would need to current limit it to not damage your battery or you could just buy a normal car charger

I've seen this theoretically explained before, using multi transformers to build up current to weld with. I would like to thank you for demonstrating this in a practical application that a lot of people can afford to duplicate. A very well done video. Good Job !

I recommend you to phase the bone transformers, connect the principle of the primary coil to the phase. and that all the principles are in the same phase so that the current does not tire
@izzzzzz63 жыл бұрын
To check the phase is it enough to just observe the directions of all of the windings? chack for example that if they are all clockwise wound that the neutral is always on the same side and then they flow in that same direction? Same for the secondaries.

You don't want more voltage, you want more current Wire the transformers in parallel rather than series. Voltage stays low (and safe) but you'll get 5x the current. Just make sure you've phased them correctly.

To add current control get a heavy duty 5 position switch connect stinger lead to common and make a jumper to each transformer isolated from each other to prevent back feed. Position 1= low voltage/current, 2= two transformers, 3= three transformers...ect Possibly switching the primaries individually would give you current/voltage control? Neat idea if you have access to microwaves. 👍

a cheap welder goes for around 100 euros 5 microwaves can be free or like 30 euros and you learn from doing it. but a welding machine you buy is alot better ive tried to make one at home and used a bought one i prefer the 100 euro one note i only used 2 transformers

Very informative disclosure, with meter readings, schematic and captions at key points! Thanks! And you have my subscription. Can you now turn your talent to refine this, to substitute no-cost components for that rotary switch, earth clamp, electrode holder? And begging your pardon, what exactly is the rotary switch controlling? The mains, or something more?
@junstone23775 жыл бұрын
I guess the rotary switch is use to control how many components you are going to use, like if you are cutting then use all of them then maybe if wielding just use 2 or 3 hahahaha

Looks like the rotation switch gives power from the mains to the transformer banks. He probably has it engaging different amounts of the mains energy to separate amounts of transformer... maybe four transformer on 1 and all on 2.

Hello, I found this project very interesting but there is some details I fail to understand ; 1 : How do you get around not burning the safety switch in your house ? Normally, there is a short circuit if anything use more than 2200 volts. How do you make sure it is not going to use more. 2 : Why do you need the turning switch with different modes ? What mode do you want to choose ? 3 : Why do you need two switches ? 4: Do you use a regular power point ? 5: Do you wire the fan in line or in parallel to the transformers ?
@alberttang17485 жыл бұрын
One switch for primary and the other for secondary winding. Because of the surge.

Hello, If i wind the cables around the second transformer the opposite way to first, will the current run back and heat up cable between two transformers? Does it matter which side of transformer i start winding each ? Does winding have to be identical to each in order for current to flow same way and get stronger from each passing? Does it matter if one transformer primary coil is + - and other is wired - + ? (not sure which is + or - on primary coils. Thanks.
