I bought this tool from a japan recycle shop. It does not work properly. There is something went wrong with the armature and field. It starts to heat up after running, then more and more smoke comes out. Suddenly I knew it was gone. To fix it, I need to rewind an armature and field again, but I want to use it with batteries rather than electricity. I spent more than a week to do this project, finally I can do it, and you can see it is in this video.
I hope you find this video useful and enjoy it!
Furthermore, I am happy to receive feedback, suggestions to improve myself.
!!! I'm sorry for the mistake if I did in this video !!!
Thank you very much for choosing to watch my video!
Have a nice day

That's actually quite dangerous to have a difficult to reach push button. Usually those devices on battery have two buttons, one of them is a trigger that must be pressed for it to keep working. If not... Good luck catching it when it falls...

@13:23 That bearing was onstalled incorrectly. The friction was on outer wall and you pressed in from the inner wall. Therefore the force has to transfer trough those ballbearings. Ballbearings will damage the groove where they should rotate if pressed sideways like you did.

How is that more power if the controller has fixed output current? It lost power because the windings are now rated for ~2x higher voltage...
@engenhokas69
@engenhokas69 Жыл бұрын
@@mihkus no they not, he used thicker wire to compensate for longer turns. and yes, motor size gives you the torque that he needs to do his work. What he lost is the KVA of the engine, 1000KVA is 1000RPM per given volt, now with lower resistance you will need more voltage to achieve the same RPM as before, but then again he gained torque and that's more usefull here that even more RPM, it's good as is.

I had a lot of old pipes and rebar to cut up and from what I read kzbin.infoUgkxPDBfLu68o58Aw85O_J-zIFfjJARBhp-3 this would be the tool for the job. Since I had never used one, I watched a couple of youtube videos and I'm so glad I did. Some really good safety tips, which I followed, and this tool did a splendid job. One good thing to know is the weight of the tool puts just about the right amount of pressure on the metal I was cutting, so I didn't have to use a lot of pressure, which is more likely to jam the tool. It made fast work of my job.

Ignore all negative comments because you completed an amazing transformation from a clapped out, burned out piece of junk to a fresh cleanly built cordless, brushless, powerful angle grinder which almost all of the people who wrote negative comments wouldn’t be able to do themselves. It’s not always about time and cost affective value, it is a project with 100% results so ignore the haters and I am not slating the ones who have pointed out of some alternative ways which may or may not help you in future projects I don’t know, all I am saying is you have done a great job and I for one took a lot of positives from it, well done

the set of stator core sheets should not be shorted, and you put it in a steel sleeve. This is the first. Secondly, bearings cannot be pressed into the inner race! Third, the wire needs to be wound carefully without twists or creases and as evenly as possible, this is not the case with you. Fourth, the general impression is that you have never held a soldering iron in your hands, not to mention rewinding motors... And everything turned out easy and simple for you))) I don’t believe you)

First conversion of this type I've seen. Nice. Probably the best quality 18v angle grinder out there. The older tools are just better. No shitty overload/battery/stall protection like most. Hate that on my m12 fuel die grinder, it just stops, I wish it would just bog down, instead it unexpectedly stalls suddenly. Annoying. Nice work man!

I am not sure if the speed controler will last too long, especially if you force it. since it has to take the load of basicly two motors now. And usually these Controlers are used with switches wich gradually give power. All those on/offs at full power will burn it quick. It would be nice if you could use an RC testing switch wich can gradually increase power and set what speed you want. Also I am kind of a welder sometimes and i've been used the angle grinder to cut alot of metal. I've found the thin discs, the 1 mm ones to be best for cutting metal, they cut faster, cleaner, heating the material less and giving you a more precise cut. At first i thought those are only good for cutting thin metal sheets, but is good for anything you wanna cut. The only thing you have to be careful with when using them is when you cut tubes and thick pices of metal not to pinch the disc as you are grinding through the cut, those thin discs explode very fast. But even if they do if you have good eye protection and a cover for the disc you are safe. I think alot of people are afraid of those discs as they are so thin but once you learn to work with them, trust me, you will rarely use these 1.5, 2mm ones to cut anything.
