So cute, love that you created this to distract from those 90's heart cut outs. I've smashed a can lid and glued it over the heart and then painted over it. Looks like a metal medallion. So much furniture with hearts we have to figure out what to do with them.

You really put a modern spin on this "cutsie" 90s piece. Its a little boho with a nice dose of creative improv. Thanks for leaving room for your viewer's imagination to soar. You show us...anyone can do this just give it a try. It turned out beautifully!

Can you paint over wax?

Yes- I do it on almost every piece. Officially DIY Paint doesn’t say it’s fine because in theory wax should be the last thing- but diy paint bonds to everything, and that includes a waxed object!
