Dear Paul, I’m so glad to hear from you. I could have given a whole video about my classes with Mr. Knoble. But due to the fact that most viewers do not have time to watch much detail in the KZbin format, I have to push myself along so quickly, so as not to get off into anOTHER story. As it is, Frederik has to cut out a great deal of my videos or it would deter folks from listening at all because they would know they don’t have enough time to watch. But I shall tell you one little story about that kind and sensitive gentle MAN; he noticed my hunger for more and more understanding. I was exempt from having to attend Health Class as a Christian Scientist student (health class focused greatly on disease and a matter based cause and effect and “cure” so the State of Indiana gave Christian Science Church Sunday Schoolers what the called “Religious Exemptions” to children where their own religious focus, studies, and practice might have a different base for health than that taught in public schools). Anyway, back to Mr. Knoble. He invited me to use my hour of exemption from Health class to come into the art room and work (it was also the time of his free period but he Ave it up to tutor me). And get THIS! He also invited me to come in on Saturday mornings! Every Saturday I rode my bike early in the morn, no matter what the weather … a very long bike ride just so I could have my time working in the art room. Often he didn’t even stay in the building on those Saturdays as he probably had his own family to attend to. I didn’t think much of it then, but now I think of how wonderful it was that he would come to school every Saturday to open the room for me and trust me all the while, that I would not get into mischief or have an accident that he might be responsible to explain. But that true teacher, didn’t even consider such fears. He saw and trusted his mission to teach far more than any darker concerns. And, of course, nothing ever happened to me for my pure desire was only to be working on my project in the stillness and the freedom from the sound of the bell to move along to another class. I remember the quiet. I still feel the quiet today. I’m grateful that you are a teacher, Douglas. I’m grateful you shared my video to those dear students of yours. Today’s world is coming in upon the purity of our children’s thoughts to twist and counter our American Dream, realized with hope and joy, with our natural focus on the goodness which abounds, instead of controlling, manipulative counter culture. Our students need to be able to keep their eyes open to God’s glorious gifts to us all, to work for them, even fight for them in a time when victimization has tried to conquer the victories ever available to each one of us as we see ourselves as God sees us, transparent conduits of His power, His Love, His creation ever at hand! Fare~Thee~Well! Victoria

A church my mother attended closed a few years ago, so she began attending a church about a five-minute drive from her house. She discovered my former typing teacher there and sometime later, she told me that my teacher had been diagnosed with cancer and wasn't expected to live long. I felt that i should write a note to her and I did, thanking her for teaching me how to type, which I use all the time. I recently found a memorial for her on Findagrave and I felt good that I had listened to that inner prompting to write her a note. It's great that you have a visual memory of a former teacher of yours. Love all your bits and bobs.

Re: your table linen. Folds in linen in 17th - 18th century British households were a sign of wealth showing that the householder could afford fine table linens and that there was sufficient "leisure" and skill available to iron them in a certain manner. Linens for the table were ironed to create specific fold patterns such as all parallel fold lines pointing the same direction - up - rather than one crease up and one down. Very tricky to execute! I have loved YOUR work for many of years and am SO HAPPY to find you on You Tube! I am delighted that you are still in business under your "new" name and cannot wait to explore your line of merchandise and support your efforts! Yankee is FABULOUS! Thanks for sharing.

We would be free to find or make or life like we just kind rhos old beautiful ship snd pretend whatever we like. We would even like to sell Yankee Ferry. Not because we want to desperately, but just to be forced out into the world to find our way like two lost children and a few animals … bumping into wherever we can find shelter from the storms . Wouldn’t that be so thrilling? It makes me feel so funny, just to imagine😃

Omgosh, I'm sorry happy to have found your channel! I have been a fan for many years. I was in heaven quite a few years ago when i was in NY and visited the store. Then, I was sad when at High Point Furniture Market and saw 4:42 the MC showroom. A couple of men were sitting in the chairs and talking. I learned from them that the company no longer belonged to you, but you still had a hand in what was going on. I'm thrilled you are here on this channel!

Hi Debbie. Thank you. I too am so glad we have found each other. I know that Divine Love brings together the kindred Spirits. ( by the way, MacKenzie-Chi on SS was stollen outright, and there was not a lick of truth in what those gentlemen told you. Everyone was told made up stories to cover up the terrible facts. But, I just needed to correct that lie, even if they didn’t know any better, now you do. Well, welcome. To my KZbin channel and I hope to hear from you often, now that you know where Richard & I are. Oh, Gigi! I am so ebullient to meet you! Well, yess, but, of course one cannot see himself from here or there , for we are only from within looking out, but what I muse from your wisdom and from your keen observations of Life -it must certainly be true, for the qualities you address are individual , whilst, at once, universal ! Life is not lineal. It is without beginning NOR ending. I am quite sure, that it must be true that childlike~ness is not our origin (as in a birth, a beginning - for that implies an ending, do you think? … a gaining and a losing … states and stages, ups and downs). A ray of light shines from the sun … the sun that actually never sets! Gosh, Gigi! You have discovered that what we call “child” is innate. It cannot come and go, but for a mistaken belief that it can, isn’t that so? It isn’t physical so it isn’t perishable. My goodness, I could go on, but this is only a KZbin platform. By Job, -I think you’ve got it! It is Inalienable ! Yes, we can rest in this fact. We needn’t strive for what IS innate, already, eh? Can the notes of music be lost? Can they be used up? Can there ever, never be enough? I just want to be so still in this discovery you have announced, my Gigi, whom I do not know, but … somehow, forever, I do.. My goodness, Thank you for telling us all your comment. Gladly, Victoria MacKenzie-Childs

My mother had the same Shirley Temple mug. I'm not very creative but every now and then inspiration strikes. Yesterday, I was watching a Christmas decor "haul" and couldn't believe how much money was spent on decorative boxes and books. So, I took Christmas wrapping paper and made book covers for some of the books that I always have out. Instant Christmas season for a lot less.

Odie, my Grand Channel Mammal Nephew! Aye, Matey! I have noticed a few times, your name popping up and I have been observing you, as well! (Odegaard_the_bold, on Instagram. I wanted to ” follow” you formally but I'm not even sure how🤔. I ask folks to “follow” my Instagram but I had never know how. I think it is a bit oblique. Wittika is staying on board right now but Uncle Richard and I are up state mowing and climbing trees! It is so much fun! Wittika goes off to France on Saturday and then returns for the summer. We have one boat boy and one boat-boy-girl from mexico right now, and we always have Xeno! For the first time in 20 years, no chickens🙄, but I am wanting to build a master playhouse for hens quarters top-side! Want to come join us? Any time and for however much time you like, you can come be a boatboy again, aboard Yankee. Also anyone else whom you think would like to work hard, play hard and visit the wilderness of NYC, welcome aboard! I miss you very very much. I felt like you and Honey and we had a relationship beyond human. It was/is, for real, and real FUN 😁 Ahoy, Laddie!

I'm a new subbie sent from The Little Blue Fly, and I have to tell you that I so enjoyed your tour of the galley! I especially enjoyed learning about the reason for ships having portholes. There's nothing better in my book than adding to my knowledge in such a fun way. I'll be on the lookout for more gems like that in your videos. Thank you for all you do with such enthusiasm, positivity, and spirit.

@@victoriamackenzie-childs7215 Hi Krista I'm Dee Dee this is my first time here and within just a few seconds ..I lovelovelove so thumps up with 💕 and before you were halfway thru I hit subscribe .. This isn't a Brand it is a Art Form and I am inspired and feel such a comradery with your train of thought. Through out this vlog I kept thinking that you reminded me of someone in my past. I worked it around a bit and thought yes! Its a old friend in literature ..Childhood Literature Pippy Longstocking and please take this as a compliment cause its meant as one. If you are not familiar with her please read up on her just a little, you will see what I mean. For example ..In one story she has a chore to scrub the floors . She makes scrub brushes into skates and just skates the dirt away 🥰 So garden boots as a vase and Pullies to open heavy doors were of no surprise to me only that there is a real live person doing it and that was reassuring me that my tastes in lovely things and great new ways to use them is a shared and wonderful thing. Thanks so much for filling our world with radom acts of beauty.

I was instantly drawn in as I really like eclectic, unique, olden days, Victorian, art deco, Jessica's Gunne Sax sorts of things and I am so delighted to learn that you exist and create such marvelous art. I agree with Dee Dee that your mind and its creations are an Art Form. I absolutely love it all. I realized while you were talking that you must have a website, so I took the liberty of searching and found it and was tickled to the core to see so many delightful colors, patterns, fabrics ... I’m so glad you thought it was a broach! It is actually one of our own Victoria & Richard Emprise Necklaces that can be worn at many different lengths but because the collar on my blouse sets up quite high on the band, I needed to fill the space so I wore the necklace very high. It does look like a broach though, doesn’t it? Ulyou can see the whole ne lace on our website. If you look at my latest entry I on Instagram, you will see my favorite broach, “spring Flower” You are so observant, Vicki. You are curious about everything. I love you!
