Just a note: The copper end cap is not essential for functioning, so I didn't mention it. It was just to seal the end the wand. I think it does extend the electric field mildly, however, it's more for structure and appearance. It's just a 1/2" copper pipe end. Cheers!

I once did this with a mini flyback instead. I connected ground to myself and I can use it to draw arcs to anything made of metal. It is really useful for stopping people entering your room by electrifying the door handle.

The same but make sure it outputs high freqency AC so it will copule thru intruders body to ground to burn the shunt out of them. If yo use DC intruder must touch another grounded surface unless the voltage is like over 100 kv but for that yo need a voltage multiplier i guess

If you ever want to make one that's more wandlike, without the thick handle, if you peel the shell off of the nine-volt battery, it's actually six AAAA batteries, connected with spot-welded metal strip. Stretched out endwise, it would be about 3/8th of an inch in diameter and about six inches or so long. Maybe build the entire circuit so it goes inside a piece of heat-shrink, then drill a hole lengthwise down a stick to house it?

Idea is good, I make batteries for vehicles if Jay wants will surely make a battery and send across, coz not all have a spot welder and to own one for DIY projects is not expensive too!!😂😂😂😂 Love from India.

A Surprise before Christmas 🎄 Beautiful build as always. Idea of having a energy source that you can carry that can light up lights without any physical contact is awesome. As I said in the previous community post, you should choose your video release time based on the majority of audience and where they are from. If people receive your notification in night time when most of the people are least active, by the time they come online, there will be lots of notifications that might result in them missing your notification. Because that's how I miss some of my important notifications. Last time I got notified at around 2am in the morning and today I got notified at around 9:20 pm. Maybe that's the reason some people are unable to receive the updates. One more thing... Wish you and Plasma Family a very Happy New Year and Merry Christmas 🎄🎄🎄 Hope 2021 brings the best 🙏

TARUN! Thanks for the compliments. Yeah it’s a crazy fun little wand. JUST under the power level needed to make sparks. As for the timing, yeah, true. I actually release between 7am and 8:30am PST USA as standard. KZbin tells me when most my subs are on, and that time is the most active. So that’s why I released it now. So, you must be in Japan or Australia?

Nice build. I should have thought of that. A slayer circuit for the kids. I was going to use old school tech though, but this is more appropriate. Also I'm really curious as to capacitve coupled plasma circuits for rf flame (why don't tesla coils like to run that way) and to build one without semiconductor or vacuume parts. Good work, good luck, and merry Christmas.

Nice little project. The only negative for me was the leather wrap. I do understand the need for insulating yourself from the circuit, but the leather hides all the goodies inside. Though there isn't that much to see in there, I think it helps with esthetics of the built. Good job still.

Can you do a video on Plasma Electrolysis, also called "Contact Glow Discharge Electrolysis", or "Non-Faraday-ic Electrolysis"? Use an alkalai electrolyte like Potassium Carbonate. Your cathode (negative) surface area should be much smaller than your anode. That way you get a high current density at the anode. The Hydrogen that bubbles off the cathode gets ionized. There is a Japanese Physicist named Tadahiko Mizuno, he was chair of the Physics department at Hokkaido University, who did some experiments with this. He noticed that his cathode was transmuting into different elements. Iron would turn to Gold. Tungsten would turn into Ytterbium. He looked at slices of the cathode material under an SEM with EDX (element detection function). There were areas that looked like flowers, where the inside of the metal had melted/vaporized and blown out. These "flowers" were found to be made of other elements. The theory was that the nuclear transmutation was caused by Proton Spallation. That is, the ionized Hydrogen from the water (stripped of its electron, it's just a proton), was somehow getting smashed into the nucleus of the cathode atoms, causing small fusion reactions. Also the isotope distribution was highly unnatural, suggesting a nuclear reaction. I did some experiments a while back. Maybe you could do a better job? kzbin.info/www/bejne/h5CTXq1updWdhLc like the vids man :)
