Putting a clear shower curtain liner or clear plastic over the lights, would allow you to change the lights if they go bad/out.

IDK if you're gonna make another one of these seeing as you have done new versions of old props in the past. The single best light for these IMO is not the string lights everyone seems to use. Nor do I think it is a good idea to coat the lights in foam like that. inevitably a light will fail and some of these cheap light strands that means the whole thing or a large section won't turn on. And you can't replace them because of it being embedded in the foam... No, what I like to do is make what is basically a hollow outer shell of foam that you can put any color or type of light inside, I do this by taking a rounded plastic trash can lid, and covering it in plastic wrap. Then spray the foam over it. Taking it off the lid, it leaves a big void in the middle for lights. As for the lights, I use one of those flickering "flame" bulbs, screwed into a cord with a light bulb socket on the end of it. You will need a tray of some kind to place the bulb in if you are laying it on the grass. The flickering makes the coals look like they are smoldering, and you can even change what color of lights you want to use if you wanted maybe magic blue or purple fire, or some kind of glowing green radioactive toxic waste effects.

Thank you so much for this comment because I am attempting to make this this weekend and I was worried about what to do if the lights don't work anymore!
