I just read a couple of posts saying Colin has sold out and some people are unsubbing as a result. Grow up people. He's an adult who needs to make a living somehow. Would you rather he quit KZbin to go work in a factory somewhere? I love these videos and if it meant him making more money I'd gladly sit and listen to him personally plug some random company for 5 minutes. More money equals more cool projects. Not in this case, the metal will conduct the cold and the metal is constantly on your hand, the reason why it is safe to handle liquid nitrogen with your bare hands is because the nitrogen bounces off due to the heat in your hand, but in the case of the build there was metal there instead of a hand, the metal would conduct the cold and freeze his hand.

O god the soldering... You really need to take some lessons in that to get it as need as your welding. Also I foresee a problem, this design is kind of similar to first and second generation flamethrowers (i.e. beginning/pre WW2), and that problem is that the valve is near your tank. This results in the fact that you still have liquid nitrogen (or flammable liquid with flamethrowers) in the tube when you stop firing. With flamethrowers this meant that there was still burning stuff dripping out of the nozzle after firing, and I dont know what the effects would be with liquid nitrogen, but i reckon they wont be positive for the lines or your hand if you position it the wrong way. Nice video anyways, cheers.

In this case he will be OK since liquid nitrogen will evaporate to nitrogen gas and clear the lines. If it was something that wasn't a gas at room temperature (like flammable liquids), then you would want the valve at the "gun", yep.

this is true but i can't have it on the outlet as the LN2 going through the solenoid would seize it up and there has to be a vent open at all times to stop it blowing up so this was the only way with using on one valve

I was more talking about the lines freezing up, and when pulling your arm down too quickly, making the valve stop but not having the liquid nitrogen evaporate directly. This will have some left in the lines fall on your hands (which isnt really a problem in such small quantities but still).

I know that you probably finished this project and it is too late, but confining liquid nitrogen on a closed vessel is somewhat dangerous.... It will evaporate and pressurize the vessel, might even explode.... If the exit tube gets clogged for example... But well, what is not dangerously on this channel?!?

Khem Iglesis Barrull That's sort of how it works. KZbin calculates how many people viewed more than 30 secs of your video. And also counts how many people clicked the ads on the page/video. A video with 1 million views earns between 1300 and 3400 dollars. Colin also does sponsorship deals sometimes. Both because they likely pay more and because they let him spend some money on big, awesome projects!

am i the only one who is like "do u know how fuckin dangerous that is!?" fire can burn, but its controllable in a point, (only fire is the one that comes from the wrist) the rest of it is just flammable shit thats not on fire or hot. liquid nitrogen is Cold as fuck from all points, storage/transfer/exhaust so if there's a leak (and hes planing on putting it around his back and arm, the liquid nitrogen will do the same as if it was aimed at him, people will ask well so what!? its just cold! Answer: dry ice is a bit cold (hold it for a min and u might get frostbite(DEAD CELLS LIKE SKIN)) but liquid nitrogen will give you frostbite after 3-5 SECONDS if not faster to give frostbite!!! this shit is VERY DANGEROUS. it can be controlled... BUT PUTTING IT ON UR BODY with ought protection is insane, but i hope hes going to be fine and the plumbing god gives him luck as he was a plumber. problem number two that i see and made me cringe was the method of his activation, a tilt sensor... the one with a push control was safer then the tilt as it only activates WHEN you press it. a tilt sensor is more uncontrollable as it has a chance of activating before you want it to or you realis your shooting at the cat and you face it down, well the tilt control could have delay to say nah its all good and keep spraying. another problem is accidental activation when you accidentally put your hand in a general tilt direction to do something like focusing camera or opening the door. and hes dealing with LIQUID NITROGEN something he forgot to specify was DANGEROUS as fuck."But if you put your finger in liquid nitrogen, it would go rock solid and fall off," im going to end the rant here even though i could start questioning his exhaust itself but i rather just deal with the 50 comments of hate. hopefully this shows to some that playing with liquid nitrogen isnt something you want to do or the fact of how dangerous this project is compared to others (hope hes going to be fine and i love his channel) please avoid spam hate because these are simply my thoughts here is an example of effects on a body if you are to lazy to google it: www.bbc.com/news/magazine-19870668

ok i concede the part where under an effect(forgot the name) when gas created will cushion the liquid causing it not to touch the surface but rather float over it and of of it. usually this is seen when u drop water droplets over really hot stoves but if anything liquid nitrogen will do better at that since it boils at around-190. im just going to stop trying to say its dangerous, wave a white flag, and wait till more epicness comes of of this mad creater! :D ps best moment is when he was waving his flamethrower guitar on his roof, the neighbors must be shiting their pants.
