we have white chorded lights that would disappear against that cute white yarn... SUPER CUTE JOB by the way! LOVE THIS

Great idea! You could use the scissors and poke down through the holes to release the balloon faster. White cord lights also to match the yarn.

Loved your video. I am going to make one for my daughter's birthday. She was born on Valentine's Day. I am always looking for "heart themed" crafts. She will be 38 this year and still decorates her whole house for Valentine's Day.

Used to make these with my mum. All shapes and sizes. I would make one tiny suggestion. I would get the light sets with white cord for white hearts. That way you can't see it as much. Love the video!

Very Elegant. Beautiful. I would of used the light with white wire. I find it matches so much better and it blinds in. I truly understand it is up to the persons liking... I made one with white wire lights and red lights. It turned out so elegant at the ball. Thank you so very Kindly for sharing.

I think I would use indoor/outdoor fairy lights and wrap them randomly around the balloon before I yarned it. I would make sure to wrap the yarn around the lights to support them when the yarn dries. Less problems feeding the lights into a delicate structure.

Hi Brooke, I'm a new subscriber. Love what you did in this video. Definitely going to make a few of these for my wedding day. Just a quick question. Did you find once you had taken the balloon out that you got any cracks (the yarn breaking) at all? Oh, and I think for my something blue will either be blue high heels covered in jewels or the words "I do" on the bottom of my shoes :) thanks for an awesome diy video xx
@weddlink10 жыл бұрын
I didn't get any cracking or breaking in my yarn but if you apply pressure to the stiffened yarn it may loosen. Great idea on the "something Blue" we have them available on our website if you're still in need of the shoe stickers. weddlink.com/product/i-do-shoe-stickers/

Just a quick tip for anyone trying this for the first time and by themselves. Find 2 rubber bands to fit the bowl of your choosing, going around from bottom to top, creating side by side parallel bands across the opening of your bowl. After you have your yarn wet with your "glue" mixture, run the yarn through the bands in order to be your extra "fingers" remove any excess mixture from the yarn to eliminate any annoying drips. Hope this helps someone's first experience go more smoothly, so a future solo creation will be without any reason for "dreed"! Happy wrapping! God bless.

Love the idea. Question is it safe to plug lights with yarn?
@DesireeWalker9 жыл бұрын
if they are LED lights and don't generate heat, then yes. otherwise if you're worried about it, then make sure to use a non-flammable glue.
