DIY Creators I love your KZbin videos! But this one here...your mic 🎤 upgrade, and that camera 🎥. You definitely look 👀 and sound like a radio announcer. Very PRO!!! Love it. And the lamp tutorial simply phenomenal. I am so doing it.

"Not a big deal, just switched up how I was going to do things" Loved hearing this in your video. Having a "can-do" attitude and remaining positive while constructing projects plays a huge role. Well done good sir! You got my sub.

Lol. This is the first video of yours that my husband has seen and all he said was "He's a f***ing genius! He's thinking ahead and he knows what people are going to struggle with!" And now he's subscribed. You are the first DIYer that he feels makes sense.

I really like your videos because you don't use a $4,500.00 CNC, $3,000.00 table saw, or other highly specialized/extremely expensive tools the normal guy just doesn't have. You're a regular guy making cool projects with tools the everyday guy would more than likely have. Thumbs up!

I'm happy for you that you're doing well enough to get a sponsorship like Audible. But if I may offer some constructive criticism, maybe split up the ad read so it's not all at the start of the video. Something like "...and stay tuned after the video for more details" rather than doing it all up front. That way those of us who already have Audible accounts don't have to sit through 10% of the video length for that ad read.
@DIYCreators6 жыл бұрын
Thank you, Ad placement is rather tough. I understand where you are coming from. I haven't found then happy medium just yet. I don't like interrupting the video. I do value the way you are receiving it so I'm looking forward to trying new ways.
@zusurs6 жыл бұрын
Thanks for the video, man! One thing I don't understand, is why so many people are not comfortable with soldering something? I mean - what the hell - it's easier than most woodworking tasks, requires only super-cheap tools (decent soldering iron can together with solder wire be bought for less than 10$ in nearest Home Depot, or whatever alternative you have there in USA/Canada), and you can learn basic wire soldering in 10 minutes from youtube tutorial. That's easy and reliable - every decent man should be able to at least solder two wires together without any trouble!
@DIYCreators6 жыл бұрын
Thanks, I understand, I'm with ya. I happen to like soldering, but many are intimated by it so I like to find a solution to give viewers confidence. I would assume those who know how to solder would go for it.

Love this one :D Btw Glenn, if you haven't been told (I don't think I've seen you do it in a video before) using isopropyl alcohol on hotglue makes the chemical bond literally let go. Smear a few drops on it and the hotglue can be peeled off of any surface it's on. It's been a lifesaver for me on so many things. Also means you can use it for almost anything, since you can remove it with ease and without residue after.

That's not a lamp, that's a blunt object for home defense! :) Seriously, fantastic work, as always! I'm a big fan of constructing a dado from pieces, just as a way of thinking outside the box. Here, it makes the project accessible for those without a table saw or router to make the dado, just glue up the pieces.

Good job. I'd suggest for future projects add acouple knockouts to your form casing to avoid having to drill or use hot glue to hold something in place. Use some pvc or pipe conduit for the wires and glue a small styrofoam block on the bottom so when you take off the bottom you have a nice, clean recess for a cover plate to the wires. It'll save you time in the long run and make it look professional. It's all in the details.
