Little tip... I use a touch of rubber cement to hold liners in cabinets and shelves. It easily removes and doesn't damage the inside of the drawer/cabinet. It sometimes will mess up the liner, but that's easy to replace.

these clips will most likely damage your hats permanently! I'd suggest to attach the clips to the back of the caps to hide that (and because the cap is softer there - caps often have cardboard inserts for the front) or to add clips that have a softer grip

Fantastic drawer organization! You probably know wax will help the top wooden tray slide like butter. I'd be tempted to put little rails on the top tray to further hold the little bins in place, but maybe that's overkill. Wonderful video!

I have an ikea silicone baking mat in a drawer with my curling irons too! I put in an outlet in the drawer so when I’m done with them I just turn them off, set them on the mat and close the drawer. No more waiting to cool off first! So far it’s worked out really well! Glad you had the same idea! ❤

This is very satisfying to watch and the entire area is gorgeous! Transforming the mirror and the sliding shelf in the drawer are my favorite things this week because GENIUS! I have one suggestion regarding your mini trash can - either move it to the front of the drawer or take its cute little lid off. It looks like it’s difficult to access from where it is - which probably means you’ll just continue to use the bathroom can. I absolutely love this series. Such a phenomenal use of that closet!🌸

I use those rubber mats in my kitchen drawers and my bins shift constantly. The bins shift and the mats just bunch up in the back of the drawers. :(

Oh Danie?! I've got you! These little vintagey decor things for your vanity is my shizz! You're looking for french vintage vanity decor, oromulu, beautiful mirrored, ornate brass trays as well as little trinket boxes & trays. Incorporate vintage colored glasses to hold your brushes/liners; use raw wood/carved wood elements to keep it from looking old fashioned, just vintage. Mix w/modern ceramics to keep it fresh; customize vanity org w/custom wood dividers for your drawers. Customize it to you! Love you!

Another way to prevent the little organization bins is using a dot of ticky tac on the bottoms. One on each corner and one in the middle! I used this on my bamboo ones in the kitchen and they don’t BUDGE, EVER!❤

Great! You could also add a little brass colored rail around the sliding shelf, like the one you made for the top of the doggie feeding station, so the bins stay put a bit more and might not get knocked off accidentally.

I used 3M command hooks for my hats 😊 They’re made for hanging lights, they’re clear so they’re hard to see and they kind of close over (not completely) but they’re flexible (wish I could share pictures on here). The the plastic part on the back of my caps hang from those. And I have five hanging vertical. Saves lots of space. Looks cute. And you don’t damage your hats 😊

It works great. You could add a rubbery edge along the moveable sliding thing so the little bins don't slide off. Like clear silicone beading that dries in a raised way, it would just make sure those little bins never fall off the rubber mat....just an idea.

An organizer that I'm looking for is a corner unit in a walk in closet that doesn't take up a ton of wall space but still lets you store purses. Also renter friendly. Yeah that super easy. Did the sarcasm come thru. So far everything either takes up so much wall space that it takes away from the hanging space or it's so small and hard to get to that it isn't worth the effort. If you can come up with any you would be my hero.

You could use a lighter, too, to melt/burn the string so it doesn't fray. If you wear gloves (or have a high heat tolerance), you can mush the heated wax part of the paracord back into the strings and it will also act as a glue.

Love the slide in a drawer, however a stop at the back and a spare brass drawer pull at the front would make it easier to grab from above. Any width would work but a wide one would prevent movement forward too. Great job!!!

You can also use museum gel to hold containers in place in drawers. It is clear so you can't really see it.

If you wallpapered the inside of the drawers with a paper with texture, the inserts wouldn't move around either. And it protects the wood. A tip from my great grandmother and her drawers I still have.

I love a good aesthetic, organization video! The sliding shelf for maximized storage was very clever. Was thinking you could router the outside bottom corners so that the shelf is slighting inset on the side supports and slides more evenly. Crazy to think that just from your imagination and hard work you transformed a linen closet into a functional and beautiful vanity space for yourself. Great job! I used the drawer liner in my camper and it reacted with the plastic I put on it., as in they melted together. I would check the bottoms of your plastic trays after a bit to make sure you won’t have the same issue.

The silicone mat is a great idea!! I use museum gel to keep drawer organizers in place, in case in the future you want to avoid the grippy shelf liner. Well done as always- you definitely made this space work for you!!

I have some extra clips like those that I ordered in the wrong size, didn’t get around to going to mount curtain rods and all until past the Amazon return window… by then just had to keep like 60 rings that are too small for any rods in my house 😢 I’m obsessed with your hat hanging idea! You can also use museum putty or stick n tack to affix you containers in place... I have even used double stick foam tape in the past... It was a light hold foam tape and that's the only reason I used it

Kinda thought the hat hanger would start with a hat on top, rather than an empty hanging section, so you wouldn't have to bend over as much for the bottom one, though this way allows you to have an "open" space at the top to hang other things. Would be pretty easy to test if you prefer it starting on a hat though, just move it one ring up and let the other one hang while you consider, and chop it off if you prefer it that way. Like recordtapesbackward mentioned in their comment, the clips will probably damage the hats, but personally I would say that the marks just "add character", much like paint splatter, lol. You could clip them from the underside/the back but if it's easier this way and the mark won't bother you, no need to change it.

You did a great job! BUT, I would be careful with the grippy sheets. I had them in my kitchen cabinets, which are stained and varnished, and the pads reacted with the varnish and stuck to it and ruined the finish. I plan to sand and stain and varnish them this summer. I now have Contac paper on them, WITHOUT taking the backing off. It protects the wood if something should be damp when placed in there. I bought Contac paper that has a woodgrain. Love your videos!

I know it isn't attached but I wonder if putting beeswax or something similar would help the sliding thing you made slide smoother. I think Ariel Bissett used Howard Feed N Wax as a way to make her wooden desk drawers slide much nicer.
