I'm kind of miffed. Clicked the link ordered the pillow, big ole Cdn flag at the top of the site only to find out my card was charged in U.S. funds and shipping is from the U.S. Would never have ordered if I'd known this. No where in the order process was this explained???

Mmmh same for me I just did not looked at it. I assumed it was from Canada. At first the website (on my phone) looked like a scam. The way it is made, with all the extras one after another. I took 2 pillows and 2 pillowcases. Did it press 2 and got 4 by mistake. Contacted the customer service right away. They took enough time to tell me that it was already shipped and could not do anything… Overall the customer experience was bad. I really hope they are good quality 😇

I have never wanted to hug anyone as much as I want to hug you right now. The fact that you even TRIED to build drawers is a huge accomplishment! It's happened so many times. I've had a plan, and I'm either the tiniest bit off, or I'm just a couple boards, nails, or screws short and it just so gosh darn frustrating... Then you get so irked at yourself you start to cry.. So you're totally not alone. We've all been there at some point... And being the occasional diyer also, and lived in my first place for roughly a couple years now working with minimal tools, I feel your pain. I've had to start thinking like that older MacGyver tv series like now what, what can I do to make this work with what I've got before i have to go to the store....

Girl…you are building a dresser!!! That isn’t something a typical diy-er does! That’s a PROFESSIONAL build! Give yourself some grace, although I can totally relate to being frustrated with not getting it right the first time. I personally am so proud that you had the confidence to do a project that meticulous. It speaks to your personality more than anything that might come out of your mouth. You keep going and I’m gonna keep watching. Promise. Next thing you know, you’ll be in some high tech space with all the best equipment. It turned out perfect!!

You know, I think sometimes when we tend to be perfectionist, we’re WAY too hard on ourselves. Like you said, this was your first time doing this. I appreciate how honest you were about your frustration. You were right, you could have cut off the camera once things got raw, but you didn’t. This is why I love watching you… and like all of the builds are gorgeous! As far as having the best tools… while it can make your job easier, the way your amazing work turns out is a testament to your creative abilities. Definitely don’t be so hard on yourself… and enjoy your nap. Now I feel better if I start crying while holding a hammer.

Hi , This is like only the second time I have commented, have been subscribed for about three years now I usually am afraid of saying something and it being taken the wrong way. I just wanted to say that with you leaving in your trails and mistakes makes me love you and your videos even more. I have watched other DIYers and they never show the mistakes and that's not true to life. So I hope you keep those miss haps and trail and errors in your videos because all of us that create in one fashion or another make mistakes and we learn from them and know that nothing is perfect in this world and be comfortable in knowing that the people we watch have issues as well. So Thank You for being real. Hugs from Lancaster, Pa. ❤🤗

Chiming in to say that I'm really grateful that you put up the hard parts instead of just the shiny parts of making things! When I watch people build things like this in videos I know that if I tried it it wouldn't go smoothly and I'd get frustrated and be like "the people on the internet can do it and I can't so I shouldn't even bother!!!". It's super helpful for us to see that things not going smoothly is sometimes just the power of editing and the whole picture is that all of us are learning and this stuff is hard! Yup. Felt that moment of utter frustration and disappointment in ma bones. Drawers are HARRRRRD!! Drawers and doors. You’d not think they would be but man they are the reason “The Devil is in the Details” is even an expression, I’m sure of it. Professional, experienced carpenters with alllll the tools can find themselves in that moment of wanting to burn the world down because a drawer is making their life miserable. Thank you for sharing that moment. It’s more inspiring and encouraging to see people encountering problems and challenges and figuring out how to go through them than to see a quick montage of happy clappy perfect endings. You are levelling up your skills with every one of these projects and that is PRICELESS. The freedom you will have moving forward to take on ever more challenging projects …. And we will have seen the progress and will have that in the back of our minds when we undertake challenging projects, too. Very impressed. Well done, Danie 😊

I totally understand that frustration. I recently(like last week) built a frameless cabinet and was off 1/16 on where I put the euro hinges and have to fill and redrill the holes. I definitely cried. So sucky! One thing I changed for drawers is I use blum undermount drawer slides, which have so much adjustment that it helps so much with that frustration with drawers. Also, I make the drawer boxes ever so slightly small and shim where I need. It looks great so far! Excited for the next episode!

Oh my gosh. I felt that frustration so much! DIY is always a PITA for a variety of reasons. I've invented many a new swear word because of all of that frustration. Thank you for sharing that with us. So many DIY channels make things look so easy and keep the struggles off camera and kind of gloss over it when they admit that it wasn't all smooth. I appreciate your candor and I'm sure the final product will look amazing. :)

Thank you for sharing your frustration and doing a very brave thing in not turning off the camera and letting us see how you were feeling. I watch you because I admire yours skills as an artist and DIYer. Ive dealt with significant anxiety most of my life; including in my professional, artistic, and DIY endeavors. This has been particularly strong recently, so it really helped to see you open up and show your feelings as well as your perseverance. You inspire me to pick back up my maker and artistic tools and keep going. Keep up the great work. I can’t wait to see what you do in the future.

Dear Danie, please know that you don't have to feel any pressure for time from us! And when these hiccups happen, you can just take some time to regroup and take a break. I cry all the time battling my depression, so I really get it

Thank you so much for being vulnerable and authentic with all of us. That was big and brave and we’re all a little less alone for it. Thank you

Oh huni, I really felt it for you. I've been there too. Making everything fit perfectly when you're making it from scratch is hard. Draws are one of those things that even big companies get wrong and their working with lazer pro machines. Sometimes you just have to take a breath, leave it for a while and come back with the fighting spirit, in that space of time an idea usually pops into your head and it all works out. Not always a path we choose but gets us to the same destination. It's already a stunning piece of work, looking forward to seeing it all finished. 🤗 🤗 🤗 🤗 🤗 PS. Pups playing in the snow and giving that loving support always give us a second wave of energy and strength to see it through ☺ 🤗 🤗

Aw Danie. When you got upset I just wanted to give ya a hug. It's such a horrible time of year and it just compounds our feelings. But you picked yourself up and fixed all issues and the vanity is turning out beautiful. Good on you girl. And thanks for keeping it real.

Poor Danie, I really felt bad for you. I cry when I realise there is a small part of a flat pack missing and I'm going to multiply it by 1000 and imagine how disappointed you felt, you are a complete legend xxxx

A lot of times I watch DIY videos I think "easy, breezy, beautiful,DIY" or ya know something along those lines... but its not super easy and the frustration is sooo real as I've experienced myself, thank you for sharing that part of you with us!! It definitely makes me feel less stupid and frustrated when something goes wrong (even if im not making nearly as amazing or large projects as you) I really love your channel even if I only recently found it, so thank you :)

I did the same mistake a few days ago: my drawers were a fraction to narrow. I fixed the problem by replacing the inexpensive (but they looked so well made) drawer slides with quality (and expensive) ones. I used only the tabs to attach them and they adjusted without problem. No more budget slides for me!

Hooray for you taking on such a daunting project and completing it even when it went sideways - you haven given me the courage to go back and redo a round custom cushion project that got sent to the corner when I realized part of the very obvious pattern was upside down Thank you Danie for doing the hard stuff!!!
